I’ve only tried it on once, and my first fitting isn’t until the end of October. Since the fitting’s so close to the wedding, I’d like to get my underthings now, and be ready.
The alterations lady said for sure, I don’t need a bra, as it’s thickly lined, and has good boning/support.
What kind of panties did you/are you planning to wear? I usually wear boyshorts or cheekies, but there’s literally 2-3 layers to this dress, and I’m not sure if that type of undaroos will show underneath.
I don’t think I’m gonna need any spanx or shapers, unless you think I should wear some.
Also, a full slip? I’m guessing a half slip would show?
I’m 5’0″ so the skirt flares out for me more than it does on the model. Do you think I can wear a slight A-line petticoat underneath? Since the layers are so thin, do you think it’d look weird underneath (I don’t think the chiffon would lay flat/smooth)?
Also, what can I wear on top, during the reception? I’d like to cover my arms during lunch, but I don’t want to cover up/clash with the pretty details.

@fzesguer: Beautiful dress!!! Honestly, I don’t see why you would need to wear anything underneath besides your underwear as long as the dress isn’t see through. If you feel like your normal underwear would show wear a nice full thong, that’s what I did! Shapewear, only if you feel you need it! If they told you it didn’t need a bra, and you feel you need something there have them sew cups in, that’s what I had done! It gave me that extra lift! As far as something to cover your arms maybe a nice shaw, I’m not really sure on that one! Hope that helps!!!

Beautiful dress! I’d only wear undergarments if it is sheer.

Thanks ladies, it didn’t even occur to me that I didn’t need anything other than panties! I’ll go without the slip; one less thing to buy, yay 😀

@fzesguer: I swear by Spanx. And I will tell you why, I want to look flawless and with Spanx it flattens me out in all the right places. For this dress, being that its form fitted and the look of the material seems like it will outline your figure, I would wear SPanx to give you that flawless look

@Daizy914: I love the dress! It is just stunning. I agree with @fzesguer, even though I am sure you will look fine, Spanx are your insurance that your favourite candid shot isn’t marred by an unexpected bump. Plus they keep you warm lol.

@fzesguer: Such a pretty dress! I wore some white pants from Marks and Spencers that I would usually buy, it was like 3 pairs for £10. Are you having cups sewn in?
