@auggiefrog:

Wow that tea lenght dress with the model wearing the little lace gloves is so cute!!! I have a tea lenght as a reception dress and think that is so sweet with the addition of the facinator and the gloves! I totally think I am going to steal this idea.

love your dress choices!!! πŸ™‚

Ok, here we go! :)First dress I ever tried on (that I could take a pic of)

Then I went through the short dress phase:

Then the dress trying on from hell:

Then After getting extremely frustrated I didn’t go for a few months. Then I called my mom and friend on a Monday night and told them I was going to DB to buy my dress.

then this one

…then my I wanted to try on a different dress that they didn’t have in the store, so the consultant found a dress similar to the one I wanted to try on: My dress. I started crying and everything!

My first dress I tried on was david’s bridal t9612.

Then I was stuck on a dress hybrid that I made in my head. Like below but with the WHOLE bottom lace.

Then I went to a few stores with just my cousin and tried on my dream dress. Allure c153

Then I bought a dress used because it was so cheap. Casablanca 1856

Became obsessed with a new dream dress Oceano by Pronovias which is IMPOSSIBLE to find.

Then realized what I wanted my theme to be, and the dress didn’t fit it at all!
Sold that dress, then decided on my first tried on dress David’s bridal t9612 and got it used!

Lovelovelove! What do you guys think!? Did I make the right choice? (don’t worry, you won’t make me change my mind again! Haha.)

@jymdrw:  So funny because when I read your post… I couldn’t decide why you moved past that first DB dress because it looked so perfect for you! I’m glad you ended up with it πŸ™‚

The top contenders.. I pretty much was all over the place..

1. Sottero Midgley (smart enough to not commit to the first dress I liked)

2. Wtoo Olivia – the color totally drew me in, but couldn’t get a blush colored dress.. and wanted to change too many things. This one was hard because my mom LOVED this one.3. The Vera… because fun lighter than the Sottero dress different..

4. Watters Austin – simplicity with elegance, blank canvas almost

5. By now I was losing hope and very frustrate.. and so I bought…

6. Freaked out the next day and changed my mind.. by now I was very embarassed about my indecision. Kept secretly looking… and end up with πŸ˜€ a Casablanca beauty. So moral of the story is trust your gut.. and I think go by yourself to clear your mind.

I have tried on a number of dresses but here a few below and the dress I finally decided on!!!!

This one I thought was the one but it was over my budget and I kinda wanted a big ball gown skirt.

This one was nice but the straps didnt sit quite right and the skirt was very heavy.

I liked this dress but in the end decided it was too over the top and girly for me but it was a close second.

THE WINNER, HERE SHE IS. So classic, simple and elegant!!!! Under budget and perfect in everyway. The sample was miles too big but when its my size its gonna be PERFECT!

@Jenlon:  Thanks! Haha. It was the favorite from the day, but at the time no one really knew what my wedding was going to be about and it was still close to 2 years before the wedding!

It took me two trips to DB to find a dress. Sadly, I don’t have the pictures from the first trip, they are on my mom’s phone.

I really liked this one, but something seems off.

This one was really pretty. (My face isn’t because of the dress, my mom kept telling me to re pose)

I almost picked this one. But still something felt off.

I wasn’t a big fan of the way the skirt looks like fans.

Um no. I do not want flowers on my butt.

I really liked this one too, but it just didn’t seem like me.

This one wasn’t too bad. I felt pretty in it.

Umm…no. Just no. My mom picked this one out. It’s a Vera, but I didn’t like it at all.

This is it. As soon as I walked out of the dressing room, I knew.

@Carley7.6.13 Thank you so much! πŸ™‚ The third dress is by Marisa. I know that it was a new dress from her new line and I believe it was about $2,200. It was my second favorite. It was my #1 until I found “The One” which ended up being nothing like it haha! Good luck on your journey I hope you find your dream dress!

And thank you that’s such a sweet comment I am trying to grow mine out longer I chopped it off about 6 months ago (chopped to me because it was REALLY long before) so I am sure it will be just how I want it by next summer and yours will too!!! πŸ™‚
