Congratulations! I think you’ll look cute! Everyone already knows about your height difference, and I don’t think dancing will look any weirder than kissing or walking side by side. Just dance like you would normally and embrace your quirks!

My one piece of advice would be to take some dancing lessons. The more comfortable you are dancing, the more comfortable you will look and the less anyone will notice the height difference. I’m short (5’1″), and I’ve taken salsa lessons for a few years with a group, and I’ve danced with very tall guys and what makes it not awkward is when the guys know how to compensate for a very short partner. So basically just practice. The more you two practice together, the more you will both know how to compensate for the height difference.

Also, if you’re worried about pictures, talk to your photographer and express your concerns about the differences in height. They might be able to make the height difference look less noticeable when taking photos.

Aww congratulations!! You and your fiancé make such a great couple. I honestly don’t think you have anything to be concerned about. I personally love large height differences in couples. I am 5’6” and my fiancé is 6’8”. We have a 14” height difference. I wear platform shoes everyday (even before I met him). I’m not concerned with dancing at all. I think you and your fiancé will look cute dancing together. As long as you are comfortable with your height differences, then everyone else will be too. best of luck 🙂

Everyone who knows and loves you already knows about your height difference. I am sure , proof is the pic above, that you have been photographed side by side in the past 5 years.

Your photographer will know how to pose you for pics.

I am just under 5’3″ and DH is 6’8″. I wore heels and had gussets put in under the arms of my dress so I could reach up when we danced. Even so, there’s only so much tall shoes can make up for. But it is what it is, and it never even occurred to me that we would LOOK odd. Everyone who knows us knows how tall we are, so I never saw it as an issue. There’s really nothing you can do to change this, so if it looks weird, people can get over it.
