So, I already know he has the ring but this morning he gave me a ride to my classes and as I was getting ready to step out of the car he says, “I have an especially good feeling about this week. I think we’re both going to be very, very happy. You should be excited for this week.”
I’m really anxious because through a few loose-lipped people I know his proposal includes a project he’s been working to finish. A project? I hope this is the week.
I wanted to see if I could start up a thread to see how similar I am to the people on here in my guilty desires for after it happens.
Okay, my (cheesy) to-do list:
-Obviously call everyone. I know a thread was started about this but I admit, I enjoy facebook and I will be posting the news on there after everyone is called.
-Buy a wedding magazine! I have this weird thing where I haven’t wanted to without actually having the ring on my finger. I’m totallly going to go wild at the grocery store after this. 😛
-Spend some quality time with my SO(FH!). I have to admit that being so anxious and in this “waiting” mode has put a bit of a veil over my relationship. I’m excited to just spend time with him after the big moment.
-Post the story on WeddingBee. <.< Of course.
-Find him a little gift. I’ve wanted to get him something special in exchange. I’ll have to think about what it could be.
-Take a ridiculous amount of pictures of the bling.
Gosh, I could go on and on. But…for now… I shall commence nail-painting.

@DulcetMute: *jumps up and down, hugs* CONGRATS! Yes do your nails and just enjoy everything.
I am going to do everything on that list when my times comes. I have been holding out on getting a bridal mag too, even though they are tempting me with a Kindle subscription, i have held off. I did get once Your Engagement 101 Mag. I love it and left it hanging around the house for my SO to see. It was a good door opener.

So exciting! I wish my SO was doing anything remotely akin to dropping hints, but alas, my following of Mr. Bee’s plan doesn’t seem to have spurred him into that mode of thinking in the least.
Really excited for you, and with there being a project involved I bet your story will be a fantastic one!

I have 1.5 days until we leave for our hiking trip he’s been planning for 5 months (I think this is it!). We don’t actually hike until Wednesday morning but as long as I make it until 5 pm tomorrow evening, I’m golden.
Anyway, because we’ll be in the mountains with no internet or cell reception, I won’t be able to do the traditional, call/inform/post pictures until we get home. And this is totally acceptable to me.
The first thing I want to do is spend a couple hours just enjoying the feeling of being engaged to the love of my life. Once we start telling people, we’re going to get thrown headfirst into things and I have a feeling it’ll last for at least a few weeks. Plus, it could be like our secret that we get to enjoy before anyone else knows.
Either way, I can’t wait!

A hiking trip sounds so romantic! A few days with no internet or cell phone reception would definitely give you time to enjoy just the feeling of being engaged! I’m crossing my fingers for you!
I think it’s funny that I hold off on buying the magazines…but I kind of think it’ll be much more fun if I’m actually engaged!

I am going to get a manicure this Friday in case it happens while we’re at the beach this weekend.
I figure a lot of people will be looking at my hands 😛
I will cry, call people, post on Facebook, cry more, smile, kiss him…lol
