First of all I love this style.
second, I’m so jealous that you have heat free hair clip ins. I want some so bad but with the price I can’t pull the trigger. I’m a 4 mix but when I got married I did a tension blow out and then a roller set.

yup they are expensive but its so worth it! It matches my hair so well! I actually got the wefts and made it into a wig that I still have and wear occasionally.

I honestly don’t have a plan yet. I was thinking of running a straightening iron through my hair to loosen the curl pattern a little and then perm rod it and then have loose curls. I’ve done it a few times and enjoyed the look.

I have 4a type hair. SUMMER WEDDING IN MISSISSIPPI!!!!! WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!!!! lol, I’m going with a twisted down front with a side part and (in the back) clipins in my hair texture that are going to be twisted out. I’ll attach some pics. THe first pic shows how the front will be and the second pic shows how the twisted out clip ins will be. The top will be my only leave out and my roots will be blowdried/pulled out to lay flat. I’m so scared that this will not work so we have a backup plan…..I always have a backup plan because my hair likes to get “childish” and have an “attitude” sometime. I think the backup is gorgeous. I would still use the clips ins, just in the updo pony and the bang will be all mine. I have no idea where to get clipins though. Not trying to pay millions of dollars. I checked out aliexpress…EH

Our wedding is Oct, 2016
It’ll be an outdoors wedding here in Memphis, TN
I’ve fallen in love with different variations of this new style I’ve been wearing lately: blown-out tuck & pin updo with random two strand twists for texture
It’s so elegant & gorgeous. I ended up with the style being lazy and needed a last-minute doo for church.
I wish I had some close-up pics to show details

I got married last august in St. Lucia. August= hurricane season= intermittent rain/thunderstorm. Given that set up (rained the week leading up to the sat of the wedding), I opted out of having my hair loose or even doing the blow out option/ flat iron(hate the flat look and feel). I have a mixed 4c hair texture with the top being…idk what it is…looser with a mind of it’s own. My safe option was braiding, just to have the versatility needed for a night out with my Bridesmaid or Best Man before the wedding and wedding day styling.
After stressing about all these options available to a natural hair bride, I settled on what was true to me…a bun…kept it simple, with a sort of flower effect and some pins…Here’s a collection of some of what I went through. http://gallery.weddingbee.com/photo/natural-hair-bride-options-i-used-before-finally-deciding-on-my-wedding-hair/

Your gallery DEFINITELY helped me get through my hair decisions, lol. I think I actually used one of your inspiration pics when I went to do a consult with my gf who is doing my hair.

I am completely at a loss for what to do with my hair! I love the pics you posted; can you explain more about how to achieve that look? Right now I don’t do much in terms of styling my natural hair, so I don’t even know which techniques to use for my wedding day. I need to start playing around now!
