So we will be meeting up with our flourist soon, but I was searching for ideas that I like for centerpieces in the mean time. I have completely fallen head over heels for baby’s breath centerpieces. The only thing is I don’t know if they will go with the dresses (mine and bridesmaid) and the theme that Ive already established. Our colors are red, tan and ivory with hints of chocolate and maybe blush, and we are working a vineyard theme in there somewehere as well. The bridesmaide dresses are going to be red satin with a crystal embelishment, and my dress is diamond white satin with flower beading.
I know that I want the baby’s breath for tall centerpieces, but i get lost on how to incorporate them in the bridal party and decorations. I know that I dont want babys breath to be the only flower, but Im not a big fan of them just being fillers in bouquets. Id rather have the babys breath be the only flower in the bridesmaid bouquets but I dont know if the will go with the bridesmaid dresses or with the all red bouquet that I want.
I guess im just asking for some advice on how to incorporate this beautiful flower, and not have it look out of place. Can you ladies suggest some flowers that will go along with the theme, colors, and my beloved babys breath. Ive given some pictures of what I have so far, and let me know what you think.
Inspiration Centerpiece: There will be chocolate chairs and centerpiece stands with red napkins
My Venue…these are the exact chair color were using
Bridal Party Inspiration
My dress: It will be in diamond white
My bridesmaid dresses: the actual dress in the one the left but it will be in the color in the right.
What do you think ladies. Am I doing exactly what my Fiance says and over analyzing it?

I think the baby’s breath will be fine and the bouquets don’t have to match.

I am not a fan of babys breath.. but good luck with what you decide to do.

I don’t really think posts by others saying that they don’t like your flower choice is really going to help you.
So, maybe I can… How about tieing the Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets in red ribbons that match your red bouquet colors. If you’re doing a vineyard theme, experiment with adding some grape leaves into their bouquets for some greenery and color. Prehaps some small curly grape vines in there as well. Little delicate ones. Think tendrils.
What do you think?

I’m having orange and red flowers for myself and the bridesmaids but centerpieces will be red sunflowers with a few yellow sunflowers thrown in (my favorite flower). At one time I wanted the bridesmaids to carry only sunflowers, but then I decided I want their flowers to be similar to mine and use the sunflowers as centerpieces.
IMO centerpieces and bridal party flowers do not need to match exactly. As long as they fit in with the theme you’re fine. In fact IMO the ceremony and reception are two completely different things so have fun with them and do contrasting ideas.

Love it! Baby’s breath seems so romantic to me. Agree with @Eight6Eleven about the red ribbon to tie in the red color with an all-baby’s-breath bouquet. You can have small vases/mason jars filled with baby’s breath to decorate the cake table, gift table, etc. if you want to tie it in more with the centerpieces.
