I am a big fan of elaborate ball gowns. Being a princess bride myself maybe i’m a bit impartial. But admitidly I’m more of a regal queen bride, and while I would not exactly pick any of these dresses as my “DRESS” (maybe the last one), they are after all very elaborate in my opinion. So I’m hoping to hear opinions and see photos from my fellow bees of any elaborate dresses they’ve encountered or fell in love with. 🙂

elaborate gowns are not my thing – but I’ll bump this for you

Oooh, I love the last one! I have pretty elaborate tastes, too. I think I toned it down a (bit?) for the wedding, though!

I love some elaborate gowns, SO does not at all.
I will probably not be getting one…

I also like elaborate ballgowns…but in a completely different way than you. I don’t care for crystals and rhinestones. To me, rich fabrics and draping make ballgowns elaborate and gorgeous.
Interesting how we picture completely different things from the same phrase.

Woah, all the dresses you posted have way too much going on for my tastes. I prefer simpler styles, especially on ballgowns.

My wedding dress will be pretty elaborate in my opinion. I thought I wanted something simpler, but everytime I tried something like that on, it just looked really boring on me.
I also tried on the Allure C170, but in the end, it was just a bit too much for me.

I love all of these dresses. When else in your life could you pull off such an elaborate dres!?

Here is the dress I chose. I think it’s pretty elaborate. I will be substantially altering the lace top blouse part, though.

Lol, would you believe I actually have both these gowns on my ps, and a board post dedicated to them…I loved them both, but I was alwyas more partial to satin. 🙂
I think that it’s a beutiful dress, I love the waistband and scalloped hemline. 🙂
**sings**”I just wanna be…glam·or·ous”…lol
1. full of glamour; charmingly or fascinatingly attractive, esp. in a mysterious or magical way
2. full of excitement, adventure, and unusual activity
3. having an air of allure, romance and excitement

I love your dress! I’m also wearing a ball gown with lace sleeves. I knew all along I would not go strapless for my wedding.

@MzJynxie: I love big ballgowns but I don’t like any of those. Like @BooRadley:
I prefer them to be more about lush fabrics than throwing every embellishment going on a big skirt and fitted bodice.
Your dress is stunning. Very Grace Kelly!
My dress was a big-ish ballgown but all about the shape and fabric.
