    Beautiful dresses Bees!!

I love ballgowns and I am guilty myself as to buying a big ballgown! I thought I wanted something completely different (lace, A line) and then I tried on this dress and just melted ๐Ÿ™‚

I wore a full ball gown myself.  The trouble with elaborate ball gowns is that sometimes they become the statement piece and overshadow the bride.  I think the ideal gown should bring out the beauty of the bride and not become the subject line.  I was going to have my lace and tulle gown beaded but I’ve decided that with the necklace, and the tiara it would be too much and the attention would be away from my face.  So I kept it as is so I would stand out.

Also while most gowns would look great on women of all sizes, I think elaborate gowns are one of those rare kind of gowns that should be worn by tall women with a very small size body since the larger the body, the larger the dress and it’s large as is.  That’s my 2 cents, I hope you find the dress of your dreams ๐Ÿ™‚

Mine was in between an a-line and a ballgown somewhere.  I think it was pretty elaborate.

Mine’s a tulle ball gown…I like how it’s so big, yet soft at the same time.

I love ballgowns, but I prefer ones with simpler skirts personally.  Elaborate is not really my thing. My dress was more of a full a-line, and most of the detailing was in the bodice, which was just my taste ๐Ÿ™‚

Best picture of the dress I have so far:

@MzJynxie:  I love the first one.  Designer/style ?  I have been looking for a big ball gown but with an extremely dropped waist.  I am a lace and tulle girl.  I want the perfect hyrid of Grace Kelly’s wedding dress and Kate Hudson’s dress in Bride Wars.

@MzJynxie:  It’s Demetrios, and you can’t tell by the photo, but there are crystals sprinkled all over the tulle skirt as well.

@MzJynxie:  The bodice is amazing, especially in person. It is what sold the dress for me.

@mrsdelis:  Wow thanks! The sad part is that Sottero Midgley has discontinued this dress. I am considering selling me one of these days but in the mean time I hate the fact that there won’t be more Loretta brides.

@Katie1359:  I almost picked this but went with Victoriana instead bc it was tafetta instead of satin hah

@nyCheesecake:  That’s too funny! Victoriana was my other choice but I decided against it because I didn’t care for tafetta. Loved the satin but it was heavy!!

All I can think about is My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. Not that it’s a bad thing, but they loooove their poufy dresses!
