Stila has a travel palette for $10 and it definitely looks like it was worth a ton more. If you stalk Sephora’s sales online, you can get body wash and/or lotion for as little as $3. Forever 21 has inexpensive jewelry and clutches, too!

you could make hangers with their names…a few bees have done that and they’re cute! if you’re crafty at all you could make clutches or makeup bags. h&m also has cute jewelry!

I just saw this on the morning show today and thought it would make a great bridesmaid gifts.  They’re flats that roll up super small so they can fit into a purse easily.  I want a pair for myself now!

My sister found these cute mesh bags that she had monogrammed for all of the BMs. They were cute. I think she got them from Amazon. I will ask her and see. They were on clearance so I know they were less than $10 each.

Don’t underestimate the wonderfulness of a handwritten letter of thanks, and a short public thank you speech at the rehearsal dinner!

I always think the best gifts are the personal ones, and not “weddingy” ones, if that makes sense.  What would buy each of these girls for her birthday or Christmas?  What hobbies do they have?  What silly memory do you have with them that they’d love to relive with a gift?

Maid/Matron of Honor is my sister, and I’ll be buying her a nice bottle of Malbec because while she loves wine, she doesn’t like spending money on herself.  I’m also getting her one of those candy necklaces, because we LOVED playing with those as children.  I’ll get my Bridesmaid or Best Man (other sister) a print by her favorite artist.

Gifts don’t have to be expensive to be awesome….it’s nice when someone clearly puts some thought in to the gifts.

i got my BMs really pretty jewelery sets at Macy’s.  They were $10 each. I have 6 BMs, so I had to find something inexpensive.  here is what they look like.  i plan to get something else small, but more meaningful and personal to each of them. just haven’t thought of what yet!

My friends who got married recently gave the whole bridal party – both BMs and Groomsmen – new watches.  I know they were on a budget, so with the exception of the best man (the groom’s brother, who got a *really* nice new pocket watch), I think they found the watches for fairly cheap.  It was meaningful, though, because they really tried to personalize each watch to the person.  For example, the bride knows that I’m interested in renaissance festivals and had heard me lamenting about how I had no timepiece I could use at the faires that would look somewhat period.  Thus, she got me a clock on a necklace that’s really small and unnoticeable, but if it does happen to be seen, it looks very antique.  It was PERFECT.  One of the other girls loves penguins, so she got a penguin clock.  That sort of thing.

I think it would be nice to write a letter and cook some yummy treats and wrap them up.  I might be just hungry, but that’s what I’d like to receive and I’m a Bridesmaid or Best Man at the moment!

Happy birthday to your daughter!
