The diamonds im tossing up between are 5.79mm (0.70ct) D Si1 with excellent cut.. Or a 6.27mm (0.85ct) E Si1 with very good cut but medium fluroecence.. i have seen both diamonds and they look pretty much the same except the 0.85ct is a bit bigger.. Which one would you ladies choose? I dont want it to look too big on my finger cause i have slightly petite fingers but I dont want to get it too small either.

lulu_lemon: I personally would always go larger lol. But an excellent cut diamond will sparkle like mad. Are they both certified by the same grader? Gradings can vary greatly based on which body (GIA, EGL, etc.) certifies the diamond. I have two diamonds and both are very good cut. However, one of mine is GIA graded. I used the measurements listed on the report and typed it into the Holloway Cut Advisor and it performs more like an excellent cut. Be sure to do the research! Diamond regret is not fun..

lulu_lemon: Depending on who graded the stones I would pick the slightly smaller stone to have a better color grade. I tend to be color sensitive so I made sure I stayed G-H in color and I have an SI1. If color isnt a huge priority or you prefer warmth then grab the larger stone. Let us know what you choose!

Strawberryshmoo: But both the stones im tossing up betweeen
are colourless.. the 0.85 is an E and the 0.70ct is a D so they are both high colour stones.. the only thing im worried about with the bigger stone is it has medium fluroecence to it.. but i have seen it under natural light and it doesnt look cloudy or milky at all like people say they can.
