I have been wondering what is the difference betwen brown and hazel.
I have been wondering what is the difference betwen brown and hazel.
OP: your eyes are definitely hazel. I used to think hazel was a shade of brown… I guess I always think of hazel nuts lol, but hazel in regards to eye color just means a combination of colors.
My eyes were bright blue til I was 16, the same as my mom’s. I learned in genetics class they were hazel. I was like “are not!”… turns out they were and I hadn’t noticed them change lol. Mom wouldn’t admit they changed until I was almost 30! Now they are mostly green with some grey, blue, and brown… so hazel. They also look most like the colors I’m wearing or around.
I have very squinty eyes, so the only pic I have that really shows the eyeball is from like 1997 and they look grey (I’m sitting on a grey sofa lol).
Thanks for the topic, it’s fun! Eyeballs and their colors have always amazed me.
I’ll try to get a pic, but I can’t with my cell (I suck at selfies) and our bathroom lighting (where there is a mirror) is horrible.
Mine are green. They change shades depending on what I’m wearing or the light/etc. DH has blue eyes.
Honey brown here… They turn super amber colored in the sunlight
Mine are blue, they look prettier when the sun hits them.
Here’s with sun, then without.
Green here.
(wish I knew how to make the photo smaller… this is kinda scary!)
@BellaDee: Here is a pretty close photo from our wedding day. Mine are a dark green, almost hazel.
