Absolutely love the dress and black sash! Gives the dress an amazing touch! Ok, so you originally liked the flower? How about a side headband with something similar but with some bling! Like this one.  I would say no veil, but that’s a personal choice. Also, have you tried on the dress with the crinoline slip?

Personally I find the black sash super distracting. Have you tried a white one, or perhaps black but more understated? The earrings and bracelet would be enough. I don’t think the necklace is necessary especially if you’re wearingthe sash. I love the headband the first poster picked.

I have to agree with pp above that I am not a fan of the black sash with your dress….it breaks up your dress too much and it doesn’t flow well with it. I’d love to see your dress without a sash or if you are set on a sash I think and ivory or rhinestone one would look a lot better…JMO thou

AS far as accessories I’d say large statement earrings and a nice bracelet. I am def  fan of veils so I say a nice 1 tier fingertip length veil!

I actually think this veil would be stunning with your dress! It would match the lace details in the skirt of your dress!

Hmm, well, i don’t like the flower of the black sash smack-dab in the middle, but maybe set off to the side a bit would be better? I do like the black, but encourage you to try other colors too.

Also, if you do decide to go w/ the black sash, what about a blingy necklace that has some black in it too?

I do think i like it better w/ the sash than w/out.

Regardless, it is a beautiful gown, and you look lovely in it. I am a huge fan of veils, and intend on having a cathedral veil of my own, but that may not be the best option for your dress- i’m liking the fingertip idea.

Also, since (alas!) i can’t wear the cathedral veil thruout the reception, i am planning on switching it out with a feathery/beaded/flower/leaf/something that i haven’t quite determined on yet- my dress is very art deco-y, but maybe you’d like to wear the flower at the reception, but not for the ceremony? (also, i’d put a bit of black in that flower too- maybe a bee pin, or a few black rhinestones or something, if you keep the black sash)

Happy trying-on!

@beautifulmama28:  Have you tried it with any other sashes? Maybe a smaller ivory floral sash or a thin rhinestone sash. I prefer it without vs the black sash thou.

Id try with other sashes if possible!

If you are set on black maybe something like this where the black just peaks thru a bit

HATE the sash. (OK, maybe not hate, but really, really don’t like!) It’s the flower thingy on it that I find doesn’t work. Maybe just a simple sash? Or like on PP suggested the one from Etsy with the bling? But the flowers are over half the width of your body… it’s bizarre. IMO, of course. ๐Ÿ™‚

Not sure about the bracelet or necklace, either. Too informal to go with such a beautiful lace dress, maybe? IDK… maybe it’s just because they aren’t on you and I can’t picture scale.

Just my opinion, because you asked and I like to be brutally honest. ๐Ÿ™‚
Your dress is gorgeous, though!
