I’m home now and will upload more flower pictures because I loved them so much. My bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets, the boutonnieres, centerpieces, pew flowers, and my flower crown. *sigh* looking at flowers makes me happy.

We’re not doing any flowers but I meet with several florists. You can get pretty much any flower still, it will just be shipped in. I live in AZ so no flowers are local so “in” and “out” of season flowers are unfortanly the same price. Just want to say so if someone has a flower they really want, I’m sure your florists can get it!

Here’s one that shows the boutonnière and my bouquet. The bout had orange roses and button mums.

We also used a bunch of mums at the ceremony which are very plentiful and pretty in the fall.

I am going to a HUGE craft store this weekend to look at flowers, as I want to DIY them. I plan on going with light oranges, reds and peach/pink colors. I hope to be able to use roses, daisies and calla lillies. My Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are a dark blue (almost navy, but not), so these colors will definitely pop next to the dresses. I want to do this orange/red calla lilly for boutonieres.

This is what I am aiming for (colorwise):

I am hoping I can find what I’m looking for; otherwise, I may have to go to a florist in town to make my vision. I figure that this way will be a little cheaper.

I’m doing sola flowers as well. I didn’t want to have to worry about flowers day of, they’re cheaper and I can have the flowers match throughout the entire wedding.

Centerpieces

Pomander Balls that will be on Shepherd’s hooks for the ceremony

Flowers for the arch at the ceremony site

Bouquets

Bouts

Flower Girl Basket

Card Box

And i’m sure there are other places I will use them.

These pics are just me playing around with them after I dyed them.

We are doing all local (South Carolina) flowers in October.

These are two inspiration pictures I’ve given our florist:

From my inspiration, she put together the “suite” of:

Peach dahlias (one of my favorites)

Kiss me over the garden gate

Light pink and white Lisianthus

Seeded eucalyptus

Cotton pods

Cotton

Curly willow tips

The table setting will be garlands like you see on the altar frame above.

Yeah I’m going the cheap route, gonna get the $99 costco bouquets.. 10 bouquets for the price. They are nothing fancy but they are cheap and fresh and that’s all that matters to me! We are getting 20 bouquets in total. I will make bouts & corsages out of the bouquets.

I’m very much a DIY’er, so I picked up about $20’s worth of fake flowers at a local craft store: yellow roses (open and buds), blue carnations, and bluebell stems. I also found a small white bouquet at a local thrift store for $1, and tore it apart to use the tiny white roses and other fillers. I’ve already assembled a small bouquet, 5 bouts, and 2 corsages. Bridesmaids will each carry a single long-stemmed rose. All that’s left is to wrap ribbon around the stems. We’re not using flowers in any decor. I’m not a big “flower girl” if you can’t tell, and I also wanted to be able to get as much as possible done long before the wedding.

I did splurge on really cool “corsage magnets” for the corsages and bouts. My Fiance was a groomsman earlier this month, and I was there at the panicked moment of “no guy knows how to pin on a boutinierre,” which made me really happy I’d gotten these.

gpiglet:  I’m interested as well.  I’m the first week in November, and I’m finiding out my plans of giant mums for the church might not be possible b/c mums are gone by then!!

For the bouquets, I’m doing roses – mine will be mostly ivory with a few orange/terracotta/peach roses, and the girls will be mainly color with some ivory.  All wrapped in burplap.
