Hi, I’m getting married at PAFA (historic building) on November 8th. Looking forward to confabbing with the Philly brides! I’m especially excited for this local board b/c I’ve found that The Knot boards are not so user-friendly. It might be my browser or my computer but, anyway, yay.

MissCaps that is awsome, I fell in love with Rivercrest the second we pulled into the parking  lot.  I am getting married on November 8 so I can let you know how everything goes! –

Caroline November 8 is a great date, we can count down the days together!

NoveBride08 we were the same way about RiverCrest!  We booked on the spot.  Have you been working with the new coordinator?  I’ve spoken with her briefly, but we haven’t worked together yet.  We’re thinking about visiting soon to look at the grounds for pictures b/c we booked back in January.

Rebecca,  so far the caterers at Winterthur have been great.  I’ve been contacting Rachel, Nicole Bailey’s assistant.  I’ve never met Nicole yet, but I’ve heard she’s great.

I am using Honeybunches Floral after reading about her on the Philly and DE Knot boards.  So far she’s wonderful to work with, sounds really enthusiastic and has a great personality.

I’m excited about the local boards!  We live in Philly and will be getting married around here, but I have no idea where.  We’d rather be somewhere in the suburbs than in the city, but I haven’t had time to start looking at venues yet…after Friday, I’ll be finished with my law school finals for the semester, and I’m planning to do a venue-searching extravaganza! I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s postings for vendor ideas, too.  Cheers!

HL, where do you go to law school?  I’m graduating from Temple Law next thursday(!!) so I understand how hard it is to work on wedding planning while you’re in school.

Philly born and bred (like G Love, except I’m a reformed and educated Kenzo), but I’m having a Maine wedding….just the same, I want to wish you Philly ladies good luck!  And to Caroline….excellent choice with PAFA.  What a gorgeous building.

If anyone is still looking, I’ll give an unsolicited plug for my sister’s Philly DJ, Kim of nomacarenas.com.  I tried to hire her to travel to Maine and had no luck. 🙁
