I also run, I ran my first half in October and it was great. I would like to run a few more races before our wedding in October. But I don’t feel I can do another half this year but a few 10k is in my future.

I ran a 5k with my son (then 4 month old) in the jogger in July. My SIL did the race with me. I’ve been on a lazy break, but am committing to losing the rest of the baby weight (and then some) by his first birthday in the end of March. I’m planning a 4 miler on St. Patty’s Day and possibly a half marathon in April or May. The one in April has a 10k option, but I don’t know if I can get ready for it in time. I can build up for a 5 or 10k pretty easily (to finish at least) but running more than that takes a lot more work/time for me. This is the year for me to do a half marathon though.

I’m a runner bee ๐Ÿ™‚ I ran cross country and track in middle school all the way through college, and now I’m training for a half marathon in April.

I kind of want to sign up for a race this spring! I did one in the summer and it was so hot and  miserable. I feel like I need to retry the race experience when the weather is nice!

Hi runner bees!  I just signed up to do the Whidbey Island Half in April, and Darling Husband & I are doing the Seattle Rock n Roll (full) in June.  It will be my 4th half and 3rd full, respectively.  We got engaged the night before a marathon!  ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m a slower runner than most other people who call themselves slow; my marathon PR is 4:58.  I just this week ran 5 miles with a 9:30 pace and got really excited.  hehe!  When I first started running (2007-ish), I was doing maybe 12-minute miles.

During a half last June, there was a sign on the course that said “Flat section begins.”  Twenty feet later, a sign said “Flat section ends.”  That was a hard race!

I have been quietly training for my first 5K.  I’ve never run a race before and have never really liked running but I started the c25k at the end of November and it’s been really motivating.  I plan to run my first 5K on St Patrick’s Day and then decide if I’ll run another 5K or up it to training for a 10K or 1/2 marathon.  I turn 30 in June and the thought of training for the Chicago marathon has been swimming in the back of my head for a few months.  We’ll see….

I just ran my first half. I didn’t have a goal in mind as far as time goes, 4 hour was the max to complete it. I tried for barely 3 months and finished it in 3 hours. I was so excited. Granted, that’s still really slow but it’s a start for. My body is definitely hurting this week ๐Ÿ™‚

Currently (as in planning on starting any day now!) training for my second half marathon. My first was 2 years ago and I trained for less time then so I should be ok haha

I really want to shave 10 minutes off my first time of 2:10. I totally think I can, was not even that tired then so here is hoping!

I’m doing a couch to 5K program!  I am running my first 5k at the end of March…super excited and nervous!  I desperately want to become a runner!

@DaneLady:  I’m from VB and ran the Shamrock half a couple years ago!  I also ran the Rock and Roll there the year before.  I LOVE the Shamrock – it’s a great course, or at least it was when I ran it.

I just started training for the Vancouver Marathon in May, my husband is training for the Chuckanut 50k in March, it’s nice being able to train together. I’ll be doing training races before the big one, and can’t wait to complete my first marathon!
