Now we’re at: 104 invites (230 people) out July 3rd, 2 returned for insufficient address
We have 43 yes and 23 no; this doesn’t include 90% of the bridal party or 75% of my family.
We’ve gotten at least one RSVP every day since 1 week after sending them out… needless to say I’m starting to think we’re going to be way over budget because there are so few no’s.

@LaurenKK: i think i’m going to end up with more people than i anticipated too. we invited a total of 306 people and anticipated 250-275 would show up. so far we have 145 yes and only 4 no. there are people who’ve accepted that i really hadn’t counted on coming because they never come to anything. our rsvp deadline is aug. 18th, and we still have over 150 people we haven’t heard from, and i hate to say it, but i’m hoping we get (or a lot!) more no’s.

Sent: July 9
Total invited: 86
Still waiting: 58
So far only one not invited add-on, which was fair because I wasn’t sure if an old friend was in a serious relationship or what. And to be honest, I wasn’t expecting any no responses yet, but I guess people have it together! My guess is that we’ll wind up somewhere between 60 and 70, which sounds perfect to me.

I have been receiving an average of 2-4 rsvp a day. I love checking the mail. So far 43 yes and 1 no. About 85 more to go.

@lilchicana: Yea we had a couple surprises so far too. I feel bad getting happy over no’s too, but it’s kind of what happens when things get out of control! I know for us it’s because we live in a great vacation spot in the mountains so most people are making our wedding their summer vacation and are staying a while before or after. I’m sure it’s similar for you in Fresno!

Sent out 53 invites July 9 (123 people including kids)
So far received 14 back:
13 yes (28 guest, 4 of which aren’t bringing kids so that’s 10 less people than expected)
1 no (2 guests)
We’ve got a steady flow in the mailbox everyday. Hope it keeps up 🙂

I wouldn’t worry too much about numbers yet. The “yes” responses tend to come back first because those are the people who have been planning on attending the whole time (bridal party, family, close friends, etc.). The people who are still figuring out whether they can make it or who probably can’t but hate having to tell you likely haven’t sent their RSVPs back yet. So don’t stress (yet)!
We’ve gotten 10 declines, but we anticipate an avalanche of 40-50 “no” responses around mid-August. 🙂

@sportsgal31: Not in our case; half of yeses have been family we know are coming, the other half have been total surprises. And, only 1 person IN the wedding has responded! I really do think shizzle is gonna be out of control.

We’ve gotten back a lot of surprises as well. I guess we did our budgeting a little differently though – we budgeted for everyone who we thought there was even a possibility of attending and only excluded the folks that we knew 100% couldn’t make it (elderly family and overseas guests).

sent out about a month ago
46 still to respond
I’m getting really excited when I see a NO now…. i feel bad ! haha

@sportsgal31: same here – budgeting for all who are invited but also really hoping a few can’t make it as poop that costs keeps popping up elsewhere.

We have hit our deadline (July 20th) and still have about 40% outstanding responses! Hoping some trickle in the next few days and that people just got them out late.

We invited 302 people and so far have 25 yes’s and 8 no’s. The invites went out around the start of the month. I have a feeling we will have to track down a lot of FI’s guests. But that’s why I made the RSVP date for a month before the wedding…so he has lots of time to call everyone! He’s still giving me addresses for people’s invites!
