@sportsgal31:  you’re right, in my case that is true. most of the people who’ve responded have been the ones we already knew would come

@gonatgo:  same here. more than half of the rsvp’s we’ve received have been from my side, but i think we both may end up having to make phone calls once we reach our deadline. my dad’s side of the family is awful about responding (i have yet to receive one rsvp from anyone on his side) and my fiance was adding people to the guest list as i was getting ready to mail out the invitations. i finally had to tell him, “the guest list is closed!” lol

We sent ours out on July 5th and have mostly been receiving a steady stream daily (except only 1 today…)

We invited a total of 189 (including us)…

Yes: 74 (but most of our family and our bridal party hasn’t responded yet…jeez people! :-))

No: A total of 6…however, only one couple and one individual have outright said “no” while the other 3 “no’s” are people who aren’t bringing their plus 1. We really need like 45 people to say no…the good thing is that the people who responded no weren’t on my “presumed not attending” list which added hope that we may get our numbers down to where we need them!

Waiting: 109!

Our deadline is August 11th so I hope I don’t have to hunt many people down!

I sent out a few “friendly reminders” to some of my friends today.  Just a quick message to tell them they have one week to get their RSVPs in.

Im starting to get nervous because we sent about 140 invitations out for over 200 guests on July 3rd. We’ve heard from about half of the people but we are still waiting for the other half to respond with only 2 weeks left (Aug. 15th is the RSVP date). I know they still have time but I’m like what’s the hold up? I’d really like to get a realistic head count. I sent out Save-The-Date Cards so these people knew about the wedding for month and have to know whether or not they are attending. I am also annoyed that a couple of people who I didn’t invite with a plus one responded “will attend,” “and guest.” I’m too nice to say anything about it and have decided to allow them to bring guests to be nice, but its very frustrating. Its even worst that they responded “and guest” instead of writing their guest’s name on the response card.  I can’t do an escort card for “guest.” Let me know who the person is!

I wish I had more RSVPs, I sent out invitations about the beginning of July and have had 26 yes, about 20 nos, with about 52 unconfirmed. We started out with about 98 people invited. We expect many of them will not show as they live on the other side of the country and were courtesy extended family invites, but I want to know!! lol.

My RSVP date was August 1st, but I told my mom to give people til the 15th before badgering them with phone calls.

Invited: 80

Accepted: 23 (which includes my immediate family of 9)

Decline: 18

Still Waiting: 39

Somehow I have a feeling not very many people will show up. :’-( Those of you who think you might have too many guests can send your extras to me.
