Hi ladies. I’m just curious if anyone is feeling like my out there. I fell madly deeply punch drunk in love with my dress, just like i did almost 4 years ago with my wonderful future hubs.
But i went to try it on again today and saw another girl in ‘my’ dress. I was sad.
I as just wondering, does it bother any of you ladies when you see another girl with ‘your’ dress?

You need to add an “other” to your poll.
I have not seen anyone except the models in my gown, so I can’t say if I would be sad or not.

I get a slight tinge of jealousy sometimes… I know if I want a dress that is literally made for me then I should just get one custom made, but I sometimes feel insecure if I see someone in my dress. I wonder if she does/will look better in it. But then I remember that there are not very many people in my area that have my dress and it’s not like we’re going to run into each other on our wedding days wearing the same thing! I will never be put in direct comparison with brides wearing my dress, so why worry about it, right? 😉 Plus, the dress will be made to fit my exact measurements and I’m having some slight alterations made to it (like a sweetheart neckline), so it really is my dress.

Ive never seen anyone else in my dress. The only other “person” Ive seen in it was the model on the Mikaella website. However, my dress is different because I had alterations to customize it more to me. I changed the neckline, made the back a deep V, took off the flowers on the hip. So therefore no one has my exact dress so I honestly cant say how I would feel!

Honey, I saw my dress on a 13-YEAR-OLD at her BAT MITZVAH when I was researching photographers.
I think that after that, I can handle Pee-Wee Herman in my dress if he wants to wear it.

I have honestly never seen anyone else in my dress. It’s even hard to find pictures of models in my dress! So I also have no idea how I would react.

@His Lil SantosGirl:i really really WANT to see another women with my dress! I really need to get some good ideas about what type of veil looks best and what to do/not do with my hair and jewelry. Plus i just LOVE my dress and want to see what other people look like it – just out of pure curiosity (although i think a LOT of people would look good in it b/c its a-line ball gown)

Is it bad that I actually searched out pictures online of brides that were in my dress?

I haven’t seen anyone else in my dress…. but I don’t think I’d care at all unless someone I knew wore it. If it was just some random girl in the store I can’t imagine I’d care.

@caszos: You ROCKED that dress 😉
I did the same thing as caszos and my search only came up with one girl in my dress and I was disappointed I didn’t find more.

I don’t think I would really mind… but at the same time I probably would. A wedding dress is something that is so full of memories and happy times. My dress, for me, is full of MY happy times and MY joy. So, while someone else may have the same dress, they don’t have the same awesome memories that you do.

I saw someone in my dress while helping Future Sister-In-Law with her biutle before her wedding. It made me sad but mostly because I was already questioning my choice of dress and whether it felt… erm… unique enough for me. I got completely flamed on another wedding website for saying that so I’m trying to be carefeul with my words. In the end I bought another dress (my mom saw it when it came in to the store and the look on her face told me everything I needed to know) that I am head over heels ofr – nto because I saw someone else in the first one, just because it’s way more “me”. Does that make me crazy?!

I haven’t seen any pics on the board of girls in my dress, but hopefully someone will post some soon! But, when I tried my dress on for the first time, another bride stole it out of my room after I took it off!! So I got to see what it looked like right then! At first I was ticked off b/c it was MY dress and I didn’t want her to look better than me! Doesn’t that sound awful?! But she was shorter with brown hair- total opposite of me. So I’m glad I saw it b/c I got to see what it looked like from the back. I still loved it!

I know from speaking to the woman in the dress shop that the dress i’m liking isn’t a hugely popular one even tho it’s sottero and midgley. I have only seen pics of 2 other women wearing it and it actually makes me happy cos first of all i can see what it looks like on a real human being rather than just the model lol and secondly it kind of puts us into a really small group of women who all share something in common. we may live thousands of miles from each other and we will never meet but we all fell in love with the same dress above all others. I have voted for other tho cos i feel if there were pics everywhere of women wearing my dress it would remove that special feel of it, it would be like your average high street dress that anyone can have.
