Yes, I wants to be the only bride made for the gown!

Yes, but I know I look better in it.

I have never seen my dress on another person other than the model.  I would like to, just never have.

I get excited when I see others in it– helps me to envision what I might look like, how I could accessorize, etc.  I haven’t seen anyone besides models with my particular color choices though.  (My dress comes in all white, all ivory, or ivory/gold.  I chose ivory/gold, all the others I’ve seen chose white or ivory.)

I’ve never seen anyone else in my dress!! It’s really expensive and an old style.

I’ve seen many brides in my dress and it felt good to share the same taste with these pretty ladies. The only thing I did find crazy was when I saw a girls wedding pics after mine that had MANY similarities on my photographers website (at least to me). Same dress (even had the rhinestones removed on the waist like mine), same photographers, very similar style shoes (red heart at the toe), similar color schemes…etc I was really amazed how alike they could be. But in the end our weddings still looked completely different and we don’t look anything alike as brides. Hers looked amazing too! So I suppose your own personality will determine how you rock the dress or wedding style.

I still am curious to see if the bride took any “inspiration” from my own wedding a few months before hers though… (my photogs do have a blog with previews…) If so, I would definitely be flattered. 🙂

@EsqBride5810: me too! I haven’t seen any bride with my dress, but I think because it’s an old style. I’ve seen it only once on someone selling it. I’d love to see it worn in a wedding to see how it all comes together!

@JennyW1: OMG, I can’t believe that!! I couldn’t care less if other women wear the same dress as me – I take it as a compliment to my taste in dresses. But seeing it on a 13-yr-old at her bat mitvah might put me over the edge. (Seeing it on PeeWee Herman, on the other hand, would be a hoot! LOL)

@cookiepeeps:  What an interesting way to think about it.  But yeah, maybe that’s why I’m so obsessed with finding pictures of other women wearing my dress – because we must be similar in some way because we chose the same dress!

I want to see how other people styled their dresses, too, like some of the posters have said.

However, I’m also glad my dress isn’t everywhere.

While it would be helpful to see other brides in my dress to get ideas for hair and jewelry, I think it would take away from its specialness. I’ve only seen it on the runway model and two photo shoots. I’m beginning to think I’m the only one who’s ordered it!

It doesn’t make me sad– I actually like it! One of the posters did a recap of her wedding very recently and she was wearing “my” dress. I got very excited when I saw that. I was also able to ask her a couple of questions about the dress, so that was nice too. 🙂

My dress is pretty rare… when trying to find information about it online before purchasing, I stumbled on a thread on a UK wedding board that was collecting photos of women wearing the dress.  To be quite honest, I loved that thread!  It helped me find information, I saw it in action, it confirmed that I liked my color pick best, and it was a thrill to be able to talk to those women who shared my dress.
