Well this was an entertaining string of comments.  If a bride wants Louboutin’s and thinks everyone should have them – ok, no biggie.  No need to get our panties in a bunch.  They scream hot and sexy, they are “in,” they are expensive because they are special (just like wedding dresses are more expensive than the ones we wear to just a regular party).  I don’t think there was any reason to get so offended over the initial post.  On a different note, I heard they were really uncomfortable as well.  Jimmy Choo’s are supposed to be very comfortable if you’re into designer shoes for the big day : )

I definitely want to wear Louboutins for my wedding, BUT- I am 5’10” already, and even though my groom is 6’4″, I don’t want to be the same height.  I love high, sexy shoes, but for this day, they may not work out, and I am surely not gonna buy a ‘sensible heel’ Louboutin.  Decisions, decisions!  With my wedding budget and gown budget already sky high, I figure a little more for shoes isn’t going to break the bank.

You should just try to find knockoffs

I had no idea what these shoes were until this thread.. I had never heard of them.  I looked them up, and I do like the red bottoms with the black peep toe heels.. but, that’s really the only color I like with the red bottoms.  I guess I just don’t really see what the big deal is.. the bottoms are red… so what? But, to each his own!

I personally have never been big into spending 2,3,4x more on a name brand when I could get something similar for much cheaper.. Of course you get what you pay for (I’m aware that when I spend $12 on a top at Forever 21 it’s probably going to have a hole in it within a year.. but I’ll probably be tired of it within a year or two anyway so why pay tons of money for something that I’ll be sick of soon enough?).  Buying an expensive pair of shoes with a classic look is a better investment than a super expensive top or something, but unless you plan on wearing the shoes sparingly, they’re still going to get scuffed, dirty, etc… And they’re not even comfortable, which is what I don’t understand.  I just don’t get why you would drop close to $1000 on a pair of shoes that are painful to wear?? I guess I’m missing something!
