Let’s all breathe… They are just shoes.

Shoes that I, ironically, looked up today.  The first two pairs of shoes that I saw were Ron Ron(my FI’s name) and Fifi(my daughter’s nickname).  It was too much.  Me and some CLs are meant to be.

But due to the height of the heel and the walking through grass I may just strass a pair of BCBGs myself. ๐Ÿ™‚

I was, fo sho, obsessed with this pair. They’re discontinued now…. and they were $1100…. yeah. I would probably never buy a pair of CL’s, but damn they are good to drool over.

CLs are fab….I will buy a pair asap, only managed Bagdleys for my wedding….but what is life about if not the strive for perfection……CL perfection.

Use the money you would spend on food to buy shoes, clothes and champagne…if u do this you will be thin, stylish and fun! Tres Chic!

@Joctradamus: MY friend got married five years ago and she bought a pair of white shoes from Le Chataeu that had red (or maybe bright pink??) Bottoms on them.

I dont see it very often but i think its cute if you have white shoes. There is actually a company (maybe on etsy) that will paint the shoes (ANY SHOES) for you, the bottoms.

Im a very frugal person, so spending that much money on a pair of shoes would just be mind blowing for me. But im also not into fashion and “name brands” so they would never appeal to me even if i had the money.

If i were you i would buy knockoffs..or a shoes that you love and just get the bottoms painted. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love love loved my shoes, and jazzed them up a bit with my own personal style and i got tons of compliments. I feel weddings should reflect a personal style and not necsesarily the ongoing trends or how much money you have.

I have to just say quickly, I’m not sure what the hate is about.  There have been plenty of Louboutin or other nice shoe threads, without the condescending remarks.  People choose to spend money the way they see fit.  Honestly, I never shop, never spend money on shoes, but you know what?  I just loved this pair of Louboutins, and decided screw it, I work hard, and if I want them, I should splurge this once because it’s my wedding.  And you know what?  I’m okay with it.  And here are my shoes, and I love them and am not ashamed that I spent money on shoes.

BAH!  Half my post got eaten.  As always. haha

Anyway, I see anything designer as an investment.  Once a style is discontinued, the value goes up.
