@Wonderstruck: Why even bring up another thread on this one? Let.it.die.

Sorry for the threadjack, OP. Personally, I’m enjoying this thread. Those are some fiiiine lookin heels! But, I wouldn’t spend $1K on a pair of shoes unless they were also going to cook me dinner and clean my house.

I love shoes. I am so frugal when it comes to clothes but I never mind breaking the bank for shoes. CL ‘s are hot!

@Joctradamus: Girl, PAIN FOR BEAUTY! lol I’m only 4’11 and Fiance is 6’2 so no towering over here, too bad the damn wedding costs an arm and a leg. I don’t think I can find an extra $1, nevermind an extra $1,000. lol Get your shoes and rock ’em girl!

I confess…

I didn’t read all the pages of this. My bridal shoes are CL and I have 6 pairs for ‘general wear’. Yes, they are expensive, but I can afford them (So not a reason to hate me).

I’ve been a fan for a long time and I will be for the considerable future. You may have seen my DIY crystal strass prjoect. They are awesome, but the reason I wont wear them to my wedding is that my Fiance said something along the lines of ‘”You always wear CL, I’d expect you to buy them for our special day.”

Wouldn’t change it for the world.

“Why the hate on Loubs? People don’t hate on people buying thousand-dollar chanel pearls…or Porsches… or whatever your favorite luxury item may be. Just because someone else LOVES something expensive doesn’t mean they are judging you for not getting it. And not everyone has to love them–as long as the wearer does, that’s what matters!”

This.

To each their own, but I find them more comfortable than a comparable 4.5″ heel from another brands. Feel free to judge someone for spending “too much money” on a pair of shoes, but to deny there is a difference in quality from materials and construction from a $50 and $500 pair of shoes is silly. Admittedly once you hit $200 or so and materials are similar, the margin of quality does fade and become more about the name. Maybe the red sole as a trend will fade away, but the silhouettes of the classics are timeless and those I don’t see fading away. Just as Chanel flats, or Manolo Blahnik Sedarabys.

I’m a lifelong fan. I had a chance to meet the man himself a couple years ago and he’s genuinely kind and loves making women feel sexy.

I absoluuuuuutely would love a pair for my wedding. I just love the look and style. However, I have pretty ugly, boney, flat feet. No way they would look good in those shoes so I will just have to love them from afar…

I hope you were not just calling me out.  Everyone has their own tastes in fashion in life and on their wedding day.  Why hate?

@Joctradamus: CLEARLY i’m an entire month late on this trend lol… but that’s okay. i understand your post… Red Bottoms maybe a fad… but once you get a pair, at LEAST ONE, you’ll be satisfied… It may not have been a pair of Louboutin’s but im sure some of the ladies commenting negatively have “missed a meal or two” for SOMETHING at one point in their lives… you seem to have a shoe fetish, as do I, maybe that’s why i can relate…

i have to admit i did splurge and got myself a pair for my wedding… it was part of my “dream wedding” so i just swiped and never looked back. lol!

whatever your decision is, make sure you’re happy… yes the red bottoms DO get scratched up however, you have a lifetime warranty on them and you can always send them back to have the sole replaced. Sealed

Forgive me for not reading the whole thread…but my two cents…If you want ’em…get, but don’t put yourself in the poorhouse for ’em. I am a Manolo lover. SO COMFY! but CL…while not as comfy, are still sexy. I have like 4 pairs of manolos and a couple pairs of CLs…buy I wear my manolos into the ground.
