My Fiance and I are starting to create our song list for our wedding video and all the dances.. father/daughter..mother/son and so on.. but I’m really torn between walking down to the traditional wedding march or change it up by walking down the aisle to something else.. Help!
I’m 95% sure I’ll be walking down to the Glee Cast version of “Isn’t She Lovely”. Love how it starts acapella and then picks up with instruments. My other thoughts were Train – “Marry Me” and Runner Runner – “I Can’t Wait”
I *think* I will be walking down to “Songbird” by Fleetwood Mac. Fiance LOOOOOVES FM so I thought it would be a nice little thing for him. I am not into traditional music for our wedding (although I think it is beautiful) because nothing about our relationship has been traditional! LOL!
I know its not appropriate but I can’t get the idea of walking down the isle to Hallelujia. In reality its not gonna happen but I have not found a song yet that I love as much, good thing there is still time!
I’m so glad I’m not the only one not walking down the aisle to the traditional wedding march! Right now my heart is set to Adele’s version of “To make you feel my love”. It’s a special song to FH and I. That or “Arms” by Christina Perri. Tough decision.
We decided to go with La Vie En Rose, but I’m not sure yet which version! Fiance really loves the movie French Kiss, and we’re definitely not the traditional type. (The recessional will be Walking on Sunshine by Katrina & The Waves! hehe)
I was completely torn about this too, until I heard Jonathan Cain’s version of the Bridal March. I knew I didn’t want the traditional organ playing it but I couldn’t think of a non-traditional song to walk down the aisle to. I’m so glad I found this! My little brother will be playing it on the piano. He’s been practicing it for months now! 🙂
