Hello fellow October 2013ers!
So, I am Friday October 4th – tentatively – nothing is scheduled.
Our theme? Confused. LMAO.
He is wearing a traditional scottish kilt (the one that matches his last name) and I am torn. I don’t practice but believe in Hinduism/Buddhism and I LOOOOOVE Asian/Indian culture. I am DYING to wear a sari (I am also the palest girl, with freckles!!!!, you will ever see) or at least an ‘American’ wedding dress that’s similar to a sari.
We will hopefully be incorporating Celtic, Wiccan, Hindu, Indian, Buddhist, Irish, Scottish, American and weird/geeky/’us’ elements – should be interesting!
Looking forward ot getting to know you all over the next two years!

Welcome to the Hive! I am (hopefully) a 10/5/13 bride, but we have not booked our venue yet. I see you’re in MA, too, have you chosen a venue? I’m interested to see how you choose to integrate all those cultures into your wedding!

Hi! I’m an Oct. 2013 bride too!
That cultural mix sounds awesome! I love a guy in a kilt- kinda makes me wish my fiance was at least a little bit Scottish 🙂

Haha, yes, it should definitely prove to be interesting – it will either be completely awesome or a big hit and miss. Either way, should be a fun process. Haha.
Bas – I haven’t! I got married outside, in a little park, the first time around and had an indoor reception at a ‘hall.’
I loved getting married outside, my Fiance is all for that as well, but I want my reception venue to be way more different this time. I heard about a barn (Red Lion Inn) in Cohasset. I am also interested in incorporating some ‘rustic’ elements into the wedding as well so I thought a barn would be perfecto.
Where in MA are you? What venues have you looked at so far?

@NewStepMom2ndBride: I bet I could compete with your pale freckleyness! lol Welcome!

I’m in Bellingham, we chose the Warren Conference Center & Inn in Ashland. Our wedding is going to be “rustic” as well, with some “vintage-y New England-y touches” LOL!

@NewStepMom2ndBride: I am getting married at the Red Lion Inn on Jan 21st 2012 I love it there it is so stunning you don’t really need to decorate either because it is beautiful just the way it is. Definately worth looking at!

@soon2bkgc: How was your experience with the Red Lion Inn? I have seen mixed reviews online, but nothing recent – just wondering if you could offer any insight?
