Hi y’all! I’m currently a waiting bee and while the weekdays aren’t bad between working and kids the weekends are another story! I have been looking for cool crafts to do with the kids/family to keep my mind occupied and thought I would share this as it was easy, fun and helped us create some memories that will last a lifetime!
I have 6 kids total, we’re a modern day brady bunch (my 3, his 3 lol). I wanted to do something the kids would love and I’m big on sentimental stuff so this is perfect! We made our own ornaments this weekend. All you need is clear ornaments (glass or plastic), pledge floor polish, glitter and metallic sharpies.
Pop the tops off the ornaments and pour a little bit of floor polish inside of it and coat the inside of the ornament. Once completely coated pour the remaining polish back into the bottle. Next take your glitter and pour into the ornament and shake until the glitter covers the inside entirely. Put the cap back on the ornament and use the sharpie to decorate the outside 🙂 I did a “First Christmas 2013” and the kids did their names and designs, etc. We were able to hang them immediately and boy do they sparkle! I plan on doing this every year now so even when the kids are grown I’ll have ornaments from 2013 on and the memories to go with them 🙂
I purchased everything at Walmart for $26! I would love to hear your ideas as I have a few more weekends to stay busy before I suspect the proposal will happen!! LOL
