Beautiful tattoo! Love love love the colours. I say depending on your reasons let it show and rock the look!  I too have a large flower tattoo on my upper inner arm. I would like to cover it for my wedding day purely because 80% of my family dont know I have it and I dont want that to become the focus on the day. I also think I prefer how I look in a dress without the tattoo.

Katie von tease has some tattoo cover up make up but i am yet to try it, dermablend is also meant to be good. I am also looking at adhesive cover up patches which would work under sheer or lace sleeves to stop the bold colours coming through.

Will let you know if I find anything that works really well though.

I don’t have a tattoo that could be seen with my wedding dress on, but I just wanted to comment and say your sleeve is beautiful!

niecyhasel23 :  I don’t have any photos on me, but I have a tattoo on my forearm from wrist to elbow, and I rocked it on my wedding day, despite quite a traditional family.  It’s a part of me after all!  I thought it looked beautiful with my close up bouquet shots and holding hands with Darling Husband etc.

I personally love tattoos on a bride, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the lines of the outfit (eg. a back tattoo half hidden by the dress).

But at the end of the day, it is up to you.

If you love it, don’t hide it! It’s beautiful. If you want long sleeves anyway, I think lace sleeves are quite pretty.

niecyhasel23 :

I am not a fan of tattoos but that is gorgeous, why would you want to cover it up? However, didn’t “Jenny” in Forrest Gump wear a long-sleeve wedding dress? Kind of vintage looking too

Are you sure? Something about that makes me kind of sad! Obviously it is up to you and what you feel comfortable with, but your sleeve is beautiful and it’s YOU! I’m also imagining how nice it would be to have a bouquet or flower crown that matches.

Are you wanting to cover for pictures? Because it would be so easy to have them edited. And that way you would also have pictures with your sleeve.

Maybe some kind of wrap or cape? That way you could take it off at some points.

Plus most long sleeve dresses are lace. So the color would still show through. But I genuinely think you should rock your sleeve!

niecyhasel23 :  I also noticed just now that in some of Miley Cyrus’s wedding photos, you can’t see her arm tattoos because she was carrying a big bouquet. So that might be something to consider.

My tattoo will be showing. This is a photo of when I first tried on the dress in the store. My hair will be up on the wedding day. Your flower sleeve is beautiful – I would leave it showing!

I’m not a huge fan of tattoos but yours is beautiful! It’s not like it’s a dragon or something haha I think the flowers would look gorgeous with a wedding dress and I feel like it would be a shame to not have it on show! It would be so pretty if you matched your bouquet to it as well. I also love the scattered flowers near your right shoulder and think they would also be so pretty on show – in a dress with spaghetti straps for example? 🙂
