i’m sorry you’re not feeling well.

i’d say just go to your local clinic to be on the safe side.

i work in a clinical maternal fetal medicine lab and my coworker is a phd doing research on pre-eclampsia, and she is 30 wks pregnant. she had high blood pressure to begin with and knows WAY too much about pre-elampsia and thus is always paranoid. i don’t blame her. but she went over to the clinic during work once to be checked out. there was nothing wrong but it at least gave her peace of mind!

and if you go and you check out alright, maybe your obgyn could give you a better idea of warning signs, etc.

good luck!

@dynamic_duo:  You know, that actually sounds like you might have sunstroke…and I would still call a doctor because you’re nervous (which can’t be helping your blood pressure) and it will make you feel better to have some idea of what’s going on.

I’m trying to remember if you’re in Montreal or Toronto, but you can try calling Mother Risk 1-877-439-2744 Motherisk Helpline, or 416-813-6780 Motherisk Helpline.  My sister has called them before and they were super helpful and made her feel a lot better.

They aren’t open until tomorrow unfortunately and Victoria Day might screw with that, but that do have a great website: http://www.motherisk.org/women/index.jsp’ defer=’defer

I hope you feel better soon.

if you have a headache you should head to the hospital RIGHT NOW!!! I’m an RN with labor & delivery experience. This is a warning sign for pre-eclampsia and only your physicians can determine if this is sun-related or not….BUT, this really isn’t something you want to mess with.

I had preeclampsia with my first pregnancy and I second Miss Orchard. Either get checked out right now or go to the doctor first thing tomorrow morning. Do NOT wait!

P.S. My blood pressure was 150 over something (can’t remember the bottom number) but was sent to the hospital immediately after that reading.
