Like I said in the other post, I adore that veil.  And will look so pretty as a face framer and love the idea of it shorter.

I don’t think it makes a difference and I don’t think you’d be the first one to do this.  Your dress is honestly really pretty and I think it will compliment it nicely.

Sidenote: I would make sure the pink in the veil compliments the pink in the dress. Perhaps you can get a swatch of the veil?  And the color of the veil to compliment the color of your dress, too.

I think it’ll look gorgeous together and if you think so too you should do it because it’s your wedding.

I think your dress is gorgeous, and if you love the veil, go for it. The only person whose opinion really counts is yours. (Well, and your FI’s too, a little.)

I think your dress looks much nicer than the work on that veil. The close up of it (the veil) looks like its not very good quality. It actually looks like nylon.

No ones going to know the price unless you leave the $ tag on it. So forget how much you paid for your gown, it doesn’t matter. That veil is pretty, will they match the color of the lace on your gown?

i think both are really really really beautiful and the dress doesn’t, to me, look lower quality.  i just think that the two compete with each other.  if the lace is the exact same color they will be too matchy matchy and if they’re different colors they will compete, i think.

I think they will look lovely together(and your dress does not look cheap!). I was doing the same thing until the veil material shipment didn’t come in (my fault ordered too late). The veil was more important to me than the dress for some crazy reason.

I think a lot depends on the bride. If you think you can carry it off well, then just go for it! Personally I’m much too short and petite to be wearing so much lace but I think the veil and dress can go well together on the right person with the right flair, and that’s probably you!

When you do get the veil, can we see pictures of you in your dress? I think your dress deserves a photo taken in daylight and I’m curious to see how it looks on you! 🙂

I think it would be too busy to have all that detailing on the dress and to have a veil with colored lace. Are you sure that the colors will match? I don’t know about low or high end, I just think it would look like too much is happening with both.

And I agree with the previous poster, I’d love to see your dress on you and in better light. I think it would make a world of difference in how we’re seeing it.
