There are plenty of larger sized heels. You have to know that squished feet in a small sized shoe aren’t going to look better than larger feet in properly sized shoes. Let alone the massive discomfort that is going to cause.

One of my friends is 6’1″ and size 11 and still manages to find cute heels. Your wedding isnt until next year, you should have plenty of time to look around.

It’s not worth damaging you feet and being in pain. Find shoes you love that are the proper size.

newgirl2 :  What size in women’s do you wear? I bet we can find a pair that are flattering on your feet. Let the Bees do some research for you 🙂

ETA: Do you know what your dress will look like? That will affect the type of shoes that can be worn…

You can totally find a pair in size 11 that will look beautiful! Better to look AND feel good than to be in pain!

Are there any styles in particular that you are hoping to find? Color? Embellishments?

Nobody will know what size your shoes on, but they *will* know if you’re wearing a smaller size than you need and your feet look squashed. I wear a 10-11 depending on the shoe, and believe me, the most flattering shoe will be the one that fits you well and plays up the best attributes of your feet.

Cramming your feet into smaller shoes isn’t going to make them look smaller.  woman with long feet here.

I say be comfortable. Don’t squish your feet into a size or two smaller for the sake of slightly smaller looking feet. Besides if you are wearing a big poofy ball gown, no one will see your feet! I see quite a few really nice size 10-11 heels when I’m out shopping so you will definitely find something stylish, special and in your size!

If you’re wearing a ballgown no one will see your feet, so go for comfort and wear the correct size shoe.

Its not worth it to be in pain all day.

I’m sorry, but that doesn’t sound like a good idea. Especially since you’re looking for closed toed. I wore a pair of closed toed heels for a half day, and I think ultimately they might have been 0.25-0.5 sizes too small, and I lost 2 toenails (in addition to all of the pain, which ultimately resulted in me walking outside barefoot in a very questionable part of town). Too small heels won’t just damage your feet, but they will also in the long term hurt your back, hips, etc.
