@Pappy8:  My five year reunion is next month, and I’m debating whether to go or not! Like you, part of me wants to go, but another part doesn’t. Plus with Facebook, I’m “friends” with most of my classmates, so I can catch up that way.

Of course, a big reason for not wanting to go is that it sounds like we’d just go bar hopping all night, which I can do without having to spend hours with people who I haven’t really missed since graduation.

I went to 3 high schools, and I just realized earlier in the week that since I’m graduating with my masters in a week, my 20yr reunion year will be packed.  I know I’ll be missing at least one this year because we’ll be on our honeymoon.

I went to my 10 year reunion and last June, I went to my 20(!!!!!!!) year reunion. I have no idea how that 20 year happened because I am that old enough to have graduated 20 years ago!

I actually really enjoyed both. It was nice to catch up with the people I liked and see what they are up to. The best part though was that it was long enough, or people have grown up enough, that all the bullshit was over. People just talked. No one was assholes. There were no cliques. We all just socialized and wanted to know what happened to everyone. Even people I never talked to really in high school were friendly and wanted to know how I was.

Time does fly! Last year was 5 years out for me, and I heard rumors but I don’t think anyone actually coordinated anything. I absolutely HATED my high school and it wasn’t a great time in my life so I honestly can’t picture myself going to any reunions ever.

I have gone through all my reunions, my 20 year was last year and was the most attended. I am so glad went (broken ankle and all)  It was awesome to see everyone, even some hadn’t seen since we graduated.

I went to my ten year…some girls were trying to plan it through facebook and wanted us all to pay $45 for some crappy food with no drinks even included….so that plan fell through, and instead we just met up at a bar in our hometown.  It was nice to see everyone but let’s be honest…it’s not like we don’t see each other’s lives on facebook all the time…

This summer is my 10 year! I still hang out with 4 people that I graduated with. We decided that we’re going to go. It might be fun, and if it’s really horrible we’ll just leave and find a bar somewhere close by!

my 10 year is this year. in fact, it’ll be exactly 10 years in 4 days. holy crap how did i get old?

i went to my 5 year. it was in the function room of a bar, no food or drinks included.. so i only stayed long enough to say hi to people, and then left.

i still have yet to hear anything about a reunion. i’m tempted go on facebook and to be like, “SO…. what are we doing for the reunion?” cause i’m “friends” with a lot of my high school classmates on facebook. i’ll be happy to plan something if people want to contribute money to it. but i don’t even know what our class officers have planned/if they have anything planned at all.
