Well, I already married mine, but I’ll play along. Darling Husband and I met on the second day of our freshman year of high school in September of 2004. We were 14 (almost 15). We started dating 6 months later in March of 2005. After graduating high school in 2008, we moved from NJ to IN to attend college. We were 19 when we got engaged in February of 2009. We wanted to get married in October of that year, but put off doing so for a few years due to family finances. We got married on October 12, 2012 (exactly one week in-between our birthdays). Darling Husband turned 23 on October 5th and I turned 23 on the 19th.

We started dating at 16 and we’re 24 and 25 now. We’re not engaged yet, but I am 99% sure it’ll be this year (I need to decide on my custom ring and then wait for it to be made). I am thinking of getting married in the next several years, but we’re not in a rush. So, by now we’ve been together 8 1/2 years and have never broken up.

@hma812: Naw. For us, the wedding is a celebration of the commitment we have basically already made. It’s an excuse for a party. We’ll continue to celebrate our “real” anniversary and use the wedding anniversary as an excuse to go on a vacation (it’s a long weekend). I don’t think a lot of people will ask specifically how long we’ve been married, but I would answer truthfully without volunteering anything else. Who cares?

Yep. We first started dating when we were 16.
First pic is from HS when we were 16…second pic is from our e-shoot and we’re both 27. He’ll be 28 right before the wedding in June and I’ll turn 28 right after 🙂 🙂
ETA: I just realized I’m doing something weird with my left hand in the pic from when we were 16…I mean I always knew I looked weird in the pic…but it’s like a premonition or something LOL!

We are high school sweethearts too! We actually met when we were really, really young, we attended VBS together in the summertime while we were in elementary school, but we lived in different towns so we didn’t know each other from regular school. We then started going to high school together freshman year and sarted dating March of our sophomore year. We were both 15 when we started dating, and it was about three weeks before my 16th birthday. We were inseperable all throughout highschool and then had a LDR for four years after high school as he went away to college. We got married June of this past year at 22 years old 🙂 I Love everything about our relationship- how it started and where we have wound up.
I love hearing everyone else’s stories too! So Sweet!!

I actually married my middle school sweetheart. He was my boyfriend in the 8th grade. We broke up (like most 13 year olds lol), but we’ve been best friends ever since. He proposed on the front steps of our middle school – 17 years after we first met and dated. We were married in October.

- Wedding: August 2019 - Italy
Fiance and I started going out in 2005 I was 15 and he was 16. We lived an hour apart in different cities so we didn’t go to school together, he’s a musician and a friend of mine saw them play and we ended up meeting and it just clicked.
This is us in 2007 after my high school ball.
And this is us hours before we got engaged up at the lighthouse you can barely see on the ridge behind us on our 7 year anniversary.
We’ll be married the year of our 10th anniversary 🙂
