I have been going through posts and reading about all the amazing engagement/proposal stories, so I decided to share mine with you today :).
My Fiance and I have been together for 7 years since highschool, and through out the recent years we would randomly pop into stores and look at rings and ideas, of course i’d have pictures on my phone of rings too and I guess he just took it from there!
So, here my story begins on the day of 30th of Septemeber 2012 – It was a Sunday a lazy Sunday I guess you could say it was cloudy and rainy and all I wanted to do was watch movies and hang out with the pooches (my little boys). Usually, my fiance works on Sundays, so when he gave me the call saying he’s off and he is coming to get me to go for dinner I was surprised..
Anyways, so I got ready how I usually do and go on about my day – we go to this spot where we normally go for thai and we sit, talk and he was bringing up memories of how we met (cutieeeeeeeeee). We finished our dinner and ran a couple of errands then our friend called – told us to come by for a little (keep in mind his friend lives near our old high school where we met).
We get to the High school and he says “Hey, doesn’t this bring back memories? I heard they changed something let’s go check out it” now, also keep in mind I am a very free minded person and I don’t think much of anything when it comes to things like this – so we go and he says “I have an umbrella, come” I get out of the car, open the umbrella and I ask “What’s changed?” I continue to follow him and as I turn the corner there’s a trail of candles and roses leading up to a bouqet of 17 long stem roses and he comes underneath the umbrella says to me “I could have wrote what I was going to say, and re hearsed a million times but the rush i’m feeling I am saying everything from my heart..” and he continued to tell me every melting word, I was in complete shock since I had NO IDEA WHAT SO EVER that this was going to happen – then he dropped on one knee, look me right in the eye and asked me to marry him…of course me being me I YELL “OFCOURSEEEEEE!!!!” We both just stood in the soft rain holding eachother repeating I love you, and the happiest tears of joy.
Needless to say, we didn’t end up going to his friend, he had a bunch of our closest friends and family at his house to share our special news/moment. I couldn’t have asked for a more intimate, personal and sentimental proposal. He’s just amazing.
