Keen is amazing! I have really bad ankles (3 surgeries) and need great support. Keen’s are very lightweight and comfortable.

How about Merrell?  I have a pair of high top Merrells that are super comfortable! I wore it for the 4 day Inca trail hike for up to 12 hrs a day and no blisters or anything.

I have weak ankles and actually prefer low tops when hiking. I do have high proper hiking boots but only use them if hiking in really hard angular rocky terrain (e.g. Iceland and Norway) or if deep (shin high) snow is expected.

for everything else I only wear my Salamon 4GTXs. LOVE them. I have the waterproof version and they really are so comfortable . Required zero break in, have awesome grip, great support. Ive converted my whole family over to them!
