I’m looking to rent silver chiavari chairs near Madison, Wi, which I’m finding is really hard to do! I found this one company with cheap prices. The lady takes a week to respond to voicemails and emails. I’m worried she’s going to flake on my day.
I’m tempted to go with the more expensive vendor ($1,000 more) because they have better customer service. What would you do?

Do the reviews say they didn’t deliver or just that they suck at communication? If they’re just bad at responding, I might chance it. If there’s a single review that said someone ordered something and didn’t get it, I would probably cut my losses.

i would choose customer service if you can swing the extra expense.
if you’d rather save the money, does your site have backup chairs to use in case the vendor flakes out? make sure you sign a contract with explicit terms for a refund if products aren’t delivered as specified (make sure it has the times, number, and every detail).

Thanks! One review said the vendor measured the space incorrectly and the drapery for the wall was too short. Another said the vendor ran out of table clothes and switched them without telling the bride.
Okay, now that I’m writing it out, I think I should go with the more stable vendor! She even spelled my name wrong on the reservation form. And I just received the rental “contract.” it’s just a piece of paper with my info asking for half the quote as a deposit.
Thanks for your replies!
