While SO is paying off my e-ring he’s suggested that I get rough prices for wedding stuff so we can estimate how long of an engagement we’ll need to afford it. One of the things I’ve looked at is men’s wedding rings – when I asked him what type he’d like, he said he really, really wants to wear one, but doesn’t know if he can because he has skinny fingers with enormous knuckles and he doesn’t know how he’d get a ring to fit. I see what he’s talking about, but it bothers me because we both really want him to be able to wear one.
Just wondering if any other bees have had this problem, either with your hands or FI’s, and if so how did you work around it?

We went through a lot trying to find a good ring for my FI’s weird fingers. He budgeted about $400 and ended up spending double that to get something to fit. He tried a Tungsten ring but went with a white gold because it came in more size increments. He then had sizing beads put in it. Its so hard to put on that we might use a stand–in ring during the wedding ceremony so later on he can put his on without me struggling in front of a ton of people. It still jiggles around on his finger but he was dying to wear a ring. Hopefully the while gold will hold up pretty well. Luckily he doesn’t have a job that’s tough on his hands. It also took about 6 months to go through this whole process so give yourself plenty of time. Good Luck!

Hmmmm. That’s a difficult situation. I hope you find a solution though! 🙂
