My Fiance and I are starting to look at a wedding band for him. We don’t want to spend a fortune, but want a decent band. We’re looking to spend around $250… he wants to spend less, haha. We’ve heard all of the different materials sterling silver, titanium, cobalt, white gold, etc. Out of those materials what would you recommend? We found two bands that he likes.
1. Sterling silver w/ mine or our fingerprints on the inside from Etsy
2. Brute Cobalt band from Helzberg
What would you recommend? How does sterling silver wear as a mens band? Would love ANY advice on mens bands. Thanks in advance 🙂

@yllom10: I would look into Titanium & Tungston Carbide. Both very sturdy and will last longer and wear better than Sterling Silver in my opinion. I think price-wise they may even be less than the ones you have listed which would make your fiance happy.
James Allen is a reputable vendor online and here is a link to their alternative metal rings. I wasn’t sure what kind of style you were looking for.

I adore the finger print rings…but sterling siver if worn every day with tarnish and disfigure!! I agree with the PP I’d look into other mental alternitives. Fiance and decided on Tungston for his ring, because of the durability! You could always decide on a metal and then contact the esty designer and ask them if they’d be willing to work with it sense the finger print rings are custom made any way 😀 Best of luck!!!

I wear a lot of sterling but I wouldn’t use it in a ring I was wearing 24/7/365. Choose a more durable metal. It appears your Fiance likes plain wide bands so that will be easy to find.
