I just stumbled on this website called HitchSwitch. Has anyone used it before to change your name?

I don’t know if it costs anything, but if it does, I definitely wouldn’t do it. No matter what, you still have to go in person to the SS office and the DMV, so to me it’s really not that big of a deal to figure out what you need to bring on your own. Good luck!
Just check the websites for your county. Usually all you need for SS is the marriage license and a form that you can get online. For your license, it may vary depending on where you are. I just had to wait 48 hours from applying for the new SS card before going to get my new DL. Some places you might actually have to wait for the card to come in. In the meantime, you can change much of your information online or with a phone call for credit cards and other accounts. Some places may need your marriage license or your new DL. My name was completely changed (with the exception of my passport which I haven’t done yet) within a week.
It was really easy to change your name by yourself. Once you get your marriage license, change your SS office. Then the RMV/Passport. Once I had a new license, and SS card I went to my bank to get a new cc/debit card. It was really easy and didn’t cost that much. I recently renewed my Passport, and was within the year, so I didn’t have to pay for an updated one. I bookmarked so many of those sites, and in the end I’m glad I took care of it myself, because it seemed like a waste of money
Awesome! Thank you guys!!! I was so worried it was going to be a big pain in the a** but the way you all are making it sound, it sounds pretty simple!
