Just a curious thought, does anyone else have a pet that is kind of a voyeur? I know this sounds awkward and I apologize but the FI’s cat always “watches” and I mean not casually, like follows us and watches…its weird!

My one cat watches me and Fiance shower (separately) It is the most bizarre thing.

Our cat in college used to sneak her way into the bathroom. When you opened up the shower curtain, there she was staring at you! She was a little pervert hehe…

Mine are total creepers. They like to jump on the bed first thing in the mornings–not so ideal on a Sunday morning if you catch my drift.
I have photos of them at the foot of my feet while i’m using the potty. They think poo time equals hang out with mommy time. They’ll bash the door in themselves.
They both sit on the counters in the morning and watch me put makeup on, though.
And if i’m taking a bath? You better bet there will be 3 naked creatures in that bathroom–me, Sushi, and Sambi. Sushi likes to now SIT ON THE LEDGE of the tub next to me. i can’t budge him. one day he’ll just fall in, i know it.
They’re such perverts

Our dogs love to sit on the bath mat and watch us shower. It’s so bizarre, but they cry if we close the door without them in there.

“oh hai mom. You’re going potty? That’s ok. Don’t mind us”
Yep….birds eye view, folks =]

i use to have a cat that watched me all the time. He gotten eaten by a dog i miss him now. when iw as pregnant he would just lay on my belly and purrr. i think cats are so smart they are like little angels that watch over you even though its a lil freaky. i recently moved and and right before i did my cat lost his 9th live. i think he is still watching over us.

this post makes me laugh out loud! what pervy little friends we all have. Ours meow constantly to be let in for potty time and sit in my hubby’s drawers. Mine aren’t comfy enough i guess. And we have had to do our fair share of shoo-ing on weekends, too! EJS you’re not alone, though your cats seem a little more interested in naked time than the average feline, haha.

Awww medina I’m so sorry to hear about your cat 🙁 that’s so sad!!! I am the last person in the world to be likely to believe in ghosts or spirits or whatever but we have just had too many weird occurrences, which I won’t get into now, that suggest that some of our old pets are still “with us”. I don’t know.
About the original question: my cats DEMAND to be in the bathroom with me. Like, if they hear me going in there, they dash up the stairs and push through the door, and if they don’t make it in time, they sit at the bathroom door and howl. It’s weird.
Fortunately though, whenever I turn on the shower, they dash back over to the door to be let out–they hate it!

Oh this is hilarious! My little dog loves to follow me around. Even if he’s cozy on the couch with us and I get up to get a drink upstairs or something he always follows me. If my Fiance gets home before I do he sits at the stairs looking all nervous until I get there. He also loves to follow me into the bathroom if I don’t shut the door. If he wants in any room we are in and the door is latched shut, he will paw at the door gently and make a light whining noise until we let him in. Nuts!

MY CAT IS THE SAME WAY! Whenever im taking a shower, getting ready, going to the bathroom…shes always staring at me! 0-0;;; its creepy.
But somethin I have always thought is…
whenever my husband and I are having “fun time” my cat literally just SITS in the room the WHOLE time just watching us. its quite creepy when I catch her stare. WHAT IS SHE THINKING!?!?

@Osakagirl, why are you staring at your cat during fun time?

Haha, my cats do this, too. And we have a loft, so there’s no way to keep them out of the bedroom area. They also both love to follow me into the bathroom, and one of them likes to sit on my lap when I’m on the toilet, ewwww!
Also, my siamese mix loves to watch when I’m taking a bath, and she’s fallen in TWICE! Both times it was so hilarious that I didn’t even mind that she got water everywhere…

I lock Toby (our silky terrier) out of the bathroom. If I don’t, he will jump in the bathtub. Or steal my make-up removing cloths out of the trash and rip them up.

My cat loves to sit in the bathroom for potty time and when I take a bath he lays on the ledge and hangs out. He does hate being held when anyone is sitting on the potty though. He will cry like he is dying if we do that.
