@jboltz19: I think your dress looks beautiful on you! With so little time until your wedding, it’s very natural to start questioning things or focusing your stress on something specific. I also tend to nitpick photos I take of me in my dress…if you’re not smiling, your posture is off, your hair and makeup isn’t done–sometimes it’s hard to imagine the whole picture when you’re all done up. You will look amazing on your wedding day!

I was the same way! But don’t worry, once everything is all in place on your wedding day, you will feel amazing! Looking back at all my dress regret, and I look at my wedding pictures…I know I made the right choice!

I had the same problem. I just decided to trust the photographer to make me look gorgeous! I always had dress issues (I HATED dress shopping…oddly I love dresses…just not white/ivory etc. ones). I ended up getting a $130 reception dress from Norddstrom (just in case I got too hot or uncomfortable). That gave me a lot of piece of mind.

I think you look great though! Minus the anxiety face! Cheer up! You’re getting married!

I think this feeling you have is normal! And it’s probably not related to your dress because you look absolutely perfect in it! I had a freak out session the morning after my first fitting – just a complete melt down! I felt like all the pictures of my fitting were awful, my hair wasn’t doing what it should, and my make up trial (which happened just before the fitting) was HORRENDOUS! But my anxiety was not about the dress – and probably niether is yours!

Just breathe – you will have a beautiful wedding and you will look gorgeous in your dress!

@MM423:  Totally agree!  Have you tried it on with all the “extras” that you plan to do for the wedding?  Makes a huge difference.  I think it’s an elegant gown and you look classy as heck!

I did. I still do.  I feel like I look amazing in some of my pictures, but horrible in others (as far as the dress not fitting/looking good on my body type).  The worst is that my waist is really short so it bunched in the back.  At my last fitting (exactly a week before my wedding = no time to do anything about the dress) I was sad.  My dress wasn’t what I was expecting/hoping. I just went with it.  But, I still look at wedding dresses and think, should have! DON’T DO THAT!! it’s lame.

ps. you look great in your dress! smile!! I know that you will look and feel stunning the day of your wedding when everything comes together! I did, even though I felt all weird the week before at my fitting, and in some pictures (because of my itty-bitty “gut” that only I notice!).  Moral of the story – only you will think/and feel insecure about your dress.
