Have you tried talking to him about what the hold up is? A man who wants to propose is not going to be thwarted for a year and a half because of a canceled Easter egg hunt. I’d be asking him point blank what his intentions are at this point because this is ridiculous!

Also, how’d you find out about the ring and the failed proposal of Easter 2017?

I would just start wearing the ring.  And tell him i said yes. You are entitled to your future as well.  Can’t watch him drag his feet too long

Personally, I think a month is ridiculous. How have you not said anything for a year and a half? Scratch that, why are you still there after a year and a half?

Have you asked him why he hasn’t proposed?  What does he say?

rosieg86 :  Yikes.  Sounds like a man who was on the cusp of proposing and after it falling through, maybe experienced more relief than he imagined he would which has given him pause..

Wtf? And you’re still with him? I don’t appreciate game playing in my life unless it’s poker or chess, so this business of keeping a ring around for ages seems idiotic to me. Have you sat down with him and calmly discussed that he’s being a total douchebag? Now is a good time…

Is talking to him about it not an option? Is direct communication not possible on this topic?

I’m sorry bee, that’s incredibly frustrating, not to mention fucked up. I can’t understand why he would think it’s acceptable to keep you in the dark about his intentions for 18 months, while knowing how upsetting it is for you. I honestly think it’s sick. But if you’re determined to stay with him no matter what, I guess you gotta accept the status quo and just hope for the best.
