I just received my new set today from MoCo (I’m switching  from a diamond set) and let me just tell you it was an awesome experience and I got it ahead of schedule. It’s beautiful. I know the “hole” you’re talking about and it’s barely noticeable. I’m loving my new set

hissoon :  I think it gives it a more antique look. I was worried about it at first, too, but I love it! I don’t have any great pix of it like some gals have, but here is one.

ButternutPoppy :  That is gorgeous! You can see the beautiful flowery pattern of the OEC and I love that setting!

Mrs.Bill :  Thanks! It was custom by Schubach’s. I saw a 1930s ring I liked, but was way out of my price range so they copied it for me. OECs are yummy! LOL!

hissoon :  Yes they do. If you like old cut diamonds, you’ll find that moissanite is very comparable in look and performance.

I have to tell you ButternutPoppy, that I’m very tempted to have a similar ring made with an AVC 😀

Mrs.Bill :  Feel free! I don’t “own” the design. It’s vintage! The first picture is the inspritation ring that I could not afford and the 2nd is my ring from the video they sent me. I didn’t get diamonds all the way around to save on money.

Wow! I just came across this post after just approving my MoCo e-ring CADS. I have to say, I had NEVER noticed that “hole” and I have spent close to a year (or more) looking at moissys. It’s amazing what your brain can trick you into seeing as a flaw once it is pointed out. I freaked out for a few minutes there but it gives me peace of mind that it is normal and also seen in diamonds. Plus, if I didn’t notice it until it was pointed out (under super zoomed in photos), I’m sure others won’t notice it either. The round cut is so beautiful and I don’t think it’s worth obsessing/worrying over the tiny detail at this point. I hope you LOVE the ring when you receive it!

hissoon :  I know that this thread has been dead for about a week now, so I apologize, but I just wanted to come back and say that we picked up my setting from being mounted with my moissanite and I can only see the hole right now in very dark lighting with my laptop screen as the only light!
