Anyone combining their holiday cards with the Save the Dates this year?
I found this thread that had some ideas: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/combining-save-the-date-with-holiday-greetings
Does anyone have any other examples they would like to share?
Thank you!

We included our STD magnets with last year’s holiday cards. It saved on postage, and I still see our magnets on our friends’ fridges 🙂

I also thought about the Holiday Card and the STD mixed into one. After reading this thread, I think I am leaning towards a magnet in with the card.

I wanted to do this soooo badly, but it’s too far out for our wedding (March 2012) and then way too close to send them out next year (it’s not really a useful save the date if they get it 3 months ahead). Our idea was to do the traditional ‘Christmas picture’ (a cute winter e-pic) with ‘Happy Holidays from the FUTURE Mr. and Mrs. ND! Enjoy the season, and mark your calendars for 3.10.12!’ I think as long as you use different fonts to identify the ‘save the date’ aspects of the card, it will be a fun thing for guests to receive.
Hmm. I may just send out ‘future mr. and mrs.’ cards next Christmas, just because I love the holidays, and we’ll already have everyones address. May as well start our Christmas card list.

We did! But, we combined the Save the Date with the New Year. Here’s a couple pics:

@ustechie – Thanks so much! I actually ordered them through Vistaprint! There were about 10 that were messed up, but they replaced them without any argument. I think they turned out great! Good luck!

I just threw a business card sized STD in our regular old holiday cards. Anybody I REALLY wanted to save the date seemed to manage. I’m sure a few friends tossed it, but they’re the same fringe friends that probably would have passed on the wedding if something had come up AFTER they knew the date.

Im making some simple HAPPY HOLIDAY postcards (leftovers from my engagement picnic invites) and then going to stick the STD magnets in there as well! =]
