Our wedding isn’t til June, but there are a few vendors with whom we’ve been working (including our photographer, who we haven’t even met in person yet!) whose help and friendliness we’ve really appreciated. Would it be weird to send them a holiday card thanking them for their help so far and letting them know we’re looking forward to working more with them in the months to come? Is anybody else doing this?

We are sending holiday cards to our vendors. We also sent them thank you notes. Of course, we used most of them before the wedding, and consider them as much friends as vendors. We absolutely intend to use them again, so I think it’s worth expending a little effort to keep up the relationship. In your case, even if you don’t intend to have any relationship with these people after the wedding, it gives you a way to express your thanks so far, makes you stand out in their mind, and buys a little extra good will for the price of a card and a stamp. Why the heck not?

Sure, it’s a nice gesture and if you want to use them again in the future then it’s really worth it!

I love this idea, I think I will do this as well. We have a few vendors we just picked and are excited to work with, but the wedding is 2 years away. We wnat to keep in contact, but not overbearingly, so I think this is a nice way to let them know we appreciate them and that we are thinking of them! Thanks for sharing!
