Hi bees! So, I have been keeping my eyes peeled for post-holiday clearance candy for the reception. So far I managed to score some great deals on nerds, pixie sticks, button candy, lollipops, ring pops, and fundip! YAY!
Problem is, i did not realize when I bought the fundip and ring pops that each individual package actually has a ventines heart on it that says “to” “from” or “be my valentine” (they were in sealed multi-packs with no depiction of the individual packaging on the outside of the boxes)
For teh ring pops we are going to repackage each one in a pink celophane wrapper when it is closer ot the wedding (to minimize exposure to the air)
I am not sure what to do about the fundip…. i was thinking maybe putting a 2″ circle sticker over it… something like “YUM!” in our wedding colors?
What do you think? Should we just put them out as-is?Or should we sticker them? Or should we get new ones?
the price on the fundip was insanely cheap… the ring pops weren’t much cheaper than we had planned on, but every penny counts, right?!

I teach preschool, and I grew up loveing fun dip, and for some reason when I read the title of your post… I thought the only cool candy that I haven’t seen in a candy buffet is fun dip probably because of the packaging… How would you make that cool? So just reading your post had me smile! But I didn’t pick a choice, because I have another idea…or perhaps a question? Fun Dip with stickers that completely cover all Valentine’s Day images would probably not bug me too much with one slight issue to that… When you eat fun dip out of the packaging it would be a pain to be tearing through that much extra packaging. And it would probably mean that you’d end up having guests know that it was Valentine’s Clearance, and I think that would bug me in July. I really think it would bug people. I think if you had a wedding in March or April it wouldn’t be quite as bad, but July is pretty long. Repackaging it in clear cellophane may be your best option!

@Missbliss: Yeah, i was thinking about those things to… not sure how to repack fundip in cello tho… any ideas?
The sticker would be in the bottom corner, so no ripping involved with the sticker

Does anyone else have any ideas or comments? It’s looking like I need to get new fundip. even tho it can be just as old as the V-day stuff, the packaging is a problem. The ring pops, I think, we will still just repackage them…..
