Eeee! I am so so so excited for holiday decor! I look forward to this time of year all-year-long. I noticed Martha’s Thanksgiving issue at the grocery store aisle the other day and got abnormally excited.

I love to decorate simple fall/harvest decor, using reds and oranges and some yellow/gold stringed lights the week or so before Thanksgiving. The couple of days following Thanksgiving is when I like to put out all the Christmas decor. While we don’t have any china (yet!), I do have a large collection of white servingware just for the holiday season.

I love the holidays but because my wedding is on New Year’s I feel like I’m not gonna have time or $ for all the usual christmassy stuff πŸ™

I LOVE decorating for Christmas! I’m a new homeowner, so I’m going ALL out! I’m going to decorate the day after Thanksgiving.  I went to Garden Ridge, and they have TONS of ornaments in all different colors, sectioned into each color. There’s even a peacock theme, which I’d love to get, but I like the apple green better. πŸ™‚

Not engaged yet so, I didn’t register for any. πŸ™‚ I might when I do get engaged. Get some of the good stuff! πŸ™‚

Even though I don’t celebrate Christmas i loooooveee decorating for this season! I always like to change little things around the house…during the summer i have a bowl of shells on my coffee table and i change them to pine cones for the winter and fall. Little things like that.

I also started registering and I’m so excited! I’m a bit obssessed with myregistry.com..its hard to get off when i can add anything from any store i want! But we don’t have any holiday china yet but it’s on my registry of course!!

We had a few items on our myregistry gift list but then I removed them only because I already own some holiday china. It’s cute but that’s something you can get later on. However, if you’re a winter wedding go for it! πŸ™‚

I force myself to wait till the weekend after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. But I have my Fall/Thanksgiving decor up starting in October.

I have holiday china but I really want to use my new china we got for our wedding (it’s gold banded so it’s pretty festive). We had our families in last year after Christmas and I’m hoping to do so again this year. It makes me feel like an adult to have real dinner parties. πŸ™‚
