It’s over! We survived! Everyone has been gifted, and hugged, and fed and seen and sent home with their weight in leftovers….our dried out tree is just waiting to be chopped up for firewood and once again, the house is just a house…and not a window display of Christmas cheer.
It feels good, we did it and everyone love, love, loved their gifts! Which is the best part of all really if you’re me.
Mr. 99 surprised me with a series of canvas print photographs of my dearly departed grandparents, so they’re with us in the house, wherever I look, I see my Grandpa, my Grandma and one especially sweet photo of her and I together when I was six, laughing together over some silly thing, wearing clip on earrings with my favorite stuffed animal.
And now….I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m freakin exhausted! I got home last night, sat down with my husband and thought, “I’ll just close my eyes for a minute here…”
The next thing I know, Mr. 99 is waking me up to eat dinner, I’d conked out for an hour, just like that. Been dragging myself out of bed for the last two days and I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that this weekend, the ONLY thing I have planned is a manicure.
Its supposed to snow, I’m going to make some taco soup in the crock pot, do the laundry and snuggle with my puppy and watch movies.
What about you ladies, how do you cure the Holiday Hangover?
