I would probably pair it with more masculine pieces like a leather bomber jacket or a dressy blazer with a plain, lace, or sequin tank underneath. Then again I dress for other women too- dressing for Darling Husband just means showing the small amount of cleavage I have!

@mnp:  How about a black bustier with a sweetheart neckline? Something like this:

I’ve also seen lots of girls pair their tulle skirts with button down shirts for a more casual look.

I love that look with a bustier, you can find them cheap at Charlotte Russe, and a lace blazer, or a sateen blazer for a little more structure.

depending on how fancy, I like the look of a sparkly loose tank top with a tailored open front jacket/blazer. I would make sure they both come to the proper height. a bit shorter rather than low hip length.

I think a black three quarter sleeve shirt would look fantastic, it would really play on the ballerina look.

my first thought was a slim fitting sweater for a feminine look.  I also like the idea above of a plain tucked in tanktop with a bomber jacket.

Cute!  For a holiday party I think it would be fun with a tank with some sequins on it and then a blazer like PP mentioned above.

@Meowkers:  I second the sweater option! Love this sweater/long sleeved shirt:

I’d go for a combo of two ideas, a cute bustier (not leather) and a well-fitted leather jacket. I think both would be really cute!

for a holiday party i would go with a blingy, sequined top with a cardigan or little leather jacket

I think I’d try to find a looser silk tank tucked in with a cardi over it.
