Just wondering, is there a reason you’re concerned? I don’t see why there woudl be a problem putting the date of a holiday on a marriage license– people have gotten married on Memorial Day and New Year’s Eve before, with (as far as I know) no issues with the date. You should be fine, but if you’re particularly worried, you can always give city hall a call to double check.

You can legally marry on literally any day of the year, and your license will reflect that. 🙂

Can I assume you are asking about the certificate and not the license, as the certificate is what you actually keep?

I am not sure if it varies by location, but my certificate shows the date we were married, and the date the certificate was issued. The license was handed to the officant after we were married.
