Where in MD are you located? Are you looking for just a day trip or staying over a few nights? Id recommend Deep Creek Lake if you are close enough.

@StuporDuck:  I would still catch a flight to FL. It’s still early!

@mwitter80:  Agreed.  It doesn’t take that long to get there from MD.  Good luck!

Ohh dang! I’m so sorry you had one of those when it rains , it storms days!!

I also reccomend still getting on a flight! I fly from Baltimore to sunny south florida all the time (usually lots of flights daily only about a two hour flight depending on how far south in FL your going )  ๐Ÿ™‚ Also its gorgeous and hot out right now down here!

I agree with the others. OC is not warm enough yet and that is the only beachy area is OC and surrounding areas. That ocean will be freezing right now though. Go to FL where it is warm!

I’m so sorry you had such a horrible horrible day!!

With broken toes, I wouldn’t want to go on vacation now. I broke one toe when I was younger and I could hardly walk, it was more painful than some of my bigger health problems that I’ve had. I don’t think you could enjoy Florida and walking on sand, ect.  But, if you think you can still go – then go for it!

I would recommend a quaint bed and breakfast?

Wow, what a story!  Glad to hear you found DH’s wallet.  But OUCH for the broken toes, poor baby!  I broke a toe last summr and it was unbelievably painful for about 8 weeks, I was shocked at how much it hurt, didn’t expect that.  Helpful hint – don’t tape your toes together.  I did that at first because my doctor told me I could, but it hurt really badly.  Then someone told me to untape them and it would help relieve the pain better.  Also, walk around barefoot as much as possible and try to let your toes heal as naturally as possible.  I got a “flip flop dispensation” (lol) at work for a few weeks and that also helped.  Good luck, I hope the next vacation starts out much better for you.

K…so I’ve never been to Maryland….but I have grown up on the beach in Alabama/florida….. so I looked around on google and noticed the best thing for you to do that is closest to FL is Ocean City, is that an option?

@StuporDuck:  Oh, bummer!  Could the two of you go to a spa and pamper yourselves together?  Go to a B&B?
