This is mine and it cost me $280… It’s by Pronovias. Chantilly lace and cathedral length. I guess it varies depending on the designer?

My veil was definitely a splurge, but I just fell in love with it.  It’s a Malis Henderson and cost $400+

I’m a big believer in eBay for veils; they’re pretty cheap around there. Just make sure you go with a reputable seller with a solid refund policy if needed.

I won mine from a designer at a bridal expo. I was shocked when they told me I had won a veil that was worth $500. I’m like, “It’s tulle. sewn to a plastic comb. WTF?” At least it’s $500 I don’t have to spend!

@Christy42213:  I LOVE your veil! Where did you get it? I tried on one exactly like that at a bridal salon and it was $750!

I must say the price of veils is a little shocking! I tried on a cathedral length, lace edged drop veil that I was so very in love with – until the consultant told me the price. It was $1600!!! I very kindly said she was insane and there was no way on earth I would spend that much on something I would only wear an hour or two tops. Bless her heart, she really tried to sell it to me too – even pulled out the “it could be a family heirloom your daughters could wear” line. Yeah, not happening in this lifetime crazy lady lol

I don’t understand the line of thinking that says “Veils are so ridiculously expensive!!! You will only wear it for one day!!! So impractical!”

Well, don’t you only wear your wedding dress for one day? I mean, to me, a veil was just as  important to feeling like a bride as my white dress. I mean, its ALL just something you will only wear for one day. You only use your bouquet for one day, etc. In that way, it’s all very impractical along that line of thinking.

I paid about $900 for my Ramona Kaveza veil and it was worth every penny!!! It is my favorite thing about my wedding day look. I love it more than my dress!

@MrsD2Be:  My veil was a Malis Henderson, too! You’re the first other bee I recall ever mentioning this.  Mine was a 120,” raw-edged, cathedral-length veil with Swarovski crystals on it. It was $500.  In addition, I also had a separate blusher (from another vendor), and that was another $99.

Had no intentions on spending more than $40 on a veil! If I couldn’t find one I was going to make it, luckily I found a fingertip veil with a satin trim for $30 at a bridal sale.It retailed for $150.

My veil retailed for 1599, but I got it through Church Street Bridal and paid significantly less

The bridal salon quoted me $250+ for a two layer fingertip veil with pencil edge. I bought an identical one on Etsy for $39 plus shipping.
